I'm always amused by what Amazon recommends to me for Kindle unlimited reading. Like, this isn't the worst thing ever (writing-wise), but it's also so unrealistic.
The relationship, if you could call it that, was laughable, and the few sex scenes were so cringe-inducing. I mean, I know I'm asexual, sex-repulsed, and I hate bodily functions in general, but I feel this is still a fair assessment.
That being said, it's totally someone's cup of tea. It's just not mine. Which is why I'm always confused and amused when Amazon recommends stuff like that. They own Goodreads now. They see what I rate highly and what I don't...

One of my favorite things about rereading books is rediscovering the details I've forgotten. It's been so long since I've read these books, that I don't remember much besides the fact that I loved them, but it's like falling into a favorite comfy chair - familiar and perfect.

The very worst thing about this book is the constant preaching. Luckily, it doesn’t really come across too preachy (usually), but the constant environmental messages get a little annoying. (Not to spoil anything, but it does seem to lead somewhere in a later book.)
The very best thing about this book is the story! Yeah, I know I used the USA Today review that says the book sucks and is full of clichés, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. The book is fun to read, though, and I really enoyed it.

The very worst thing about this book is the school Artemis is sent to. It ust bugs me, for some reason. At any school I’ve ever attended, if you see the school counselor, you can’t simply call them idiots, walk out, and then fake a call from mom to get you off the hook. Any school school counselor I’ve ever known would be calling every few days making sure everything was all hunky-dory even when mom says “don’t call.” Especially for the kids they don’t like so that they can’t be accused of playing favorites.
The very best thing about this book is that Colfer never takes the easy way out with character redemption. There is no “Artemis thought about his actions, realized the fairies were right, and decided to change.” Artemis is still a bad little genius who is starting to change, but is taking his own sweet time about it because he certainly loves his crime. :-D

The very worst thing about this book is that even after everything helpful he has done, Artemis is still mindwiped. Granted, he caused a bunch of these problems, but still…
The very best thing about this book is how, even though Artemis is a genius, he still doesn’t think to make sure that his super cube won’t accidentally leak fairy information. I really like his random mistakes. They make the character come to life because no one wants someone who is absolutely perfect.

The very worst thing about this book is that if Merv and Scant are famous and whatnot, why wouldn’t they simply leave Opal in her coma under monitors and move on with their lives? Greed, I guess, would be the answer, but they could be cashing in on their rare-twin-fame instead of letting a psychotic freak loose in the world again.
The very best thing about this book is Artemis’ way of dealing with his memory loss. We knew he would have managed to get something to a safe place, but we couldn’t quite be sure what it was and how it would be recovered. Or how he would react to the memory loss itself.

The very worst thing about this book is that all the warlocks have a “Q” name. Seriously, one of them was named Qwerty. O_o Weird and lame.
The very best thing about this book is the demons! I love that Colfer has introduced demons into his world. :-D It’s easily one of the coolest things about this series.

The very worst thing about this book is that, after all the progress he’s made, Artemis still finds it necessary to lie to Holly about how his mother got sick. I was proud of him when he confessed, though. :-)
The very best thing about this book is the twists and turns involved with time travel. Trust me, read the book and you’ll understand. It’s just fun!

The very worst thing about this book is Orion. He is annoying, and while I understand his existence for the purpose of the book, I wish he didn’t have to be so freaking flowery!
The very best thing about this book is Leonor and Turnball. I just like their little love story. It’s sweet. :-)
