I appreciate the way the "chosen one" trope was approached head on and with humor, but still included and explained. This was a highly satisfying conclusion to the story, but I wouldn't say no to some short stories about what happened between the ending and the epilogue!!
This was a delightful and refreshing read. Heartwarming, hopeful, and just generally sweet.
I forgot how flat-out weird pick-the-plot books could be. Definitely worth the read, but each decision time pulls you out of the story which gets a little annoying. Still a fantastic read she I'm starting the next book now!
I mentioned on a previous review that reading two series from the same author simultaneously was trippy because of the similarities, and that's really been hitting now that I've hit the conclusions of each series.
BUT the books were all delightful. Definitely looking forward to more books from this author. And maybe a sequel series?

This series was great from beginning to end, but I almost wish it didn't have to end.
This was amazing. I'm starting "The One and Only Bob" now.
This series is so cute and fun. A little bit educational for the youngsters (or those who have forgotten some basic science) and rather creative.
So I read along with the audio book because I was really curious about the fact that Danny DeVito did the narration. He doesn't exactly have the most pleasing voice, so I didn't know what to expect. (Thank to the author's note, I know that DeVito voiced Bob in a movie that I didn't know existed, do that explains the narrator choice.)
Surprisingly, DeVito is phenomenal as a narrator. It sounded like a hyper little yippy dog come to life. Absolutely perfect.
That being said, I don't know why I keep reading stories from Katherine Applegate and expecting them to be fun and light. They're always amazing, but they're always deep and important and filled with the most important types of life lessons. I love them, but they aren't light reading for all that they are written for children.

I should have expected something heavier because of the author, but I saw a giant cat and a little boy on the cover and thought this would be a fun little light-hearted book. Boy was I wrong.
I remember the first time I read this book. I checked out several in the series from the library because the covers looked cool. I was not disappointed.
Rereading the books now, I'm still enjoying them. If you've never read them before, give them a try. Definitely worth it, in my opinion.
