Holy crap. I have no words...

I love Sparhawk and his world - if only such worlds were real. I never tire of rereading these stories.

Super cute little book. It's always fun to read this one to kids!!

I has forgotten some of the casualties... I'm sad about this.

Definitely worth the reread/listen! I've always enjoyed this book, mostly because of the Nadsat "language" that's used by Alex. Language intrigues me and so, in spite of the horror and violence, this book is always interesting. I do, however, find it easier to listen to the audio book (and let the language of Alex and his droogs wash over me) than I do to read it and struggle through the language (our feeble human minds are always trying to correct things).

This listening/reading was my first time enjoying the previously cut last chapter, though. I had no idea that the book (and also the movie of the same name) was butchered because of Americans... Ah well, it's all explained in the introduction and I find that the last chapter really does make the story all the more interesting, deep, and worthwhile. Shame on the publisher that decided it was a cop out! SHAME!

Specifically for the audiobook, Tom Hollander does a lovely job switching between manners of speech, and helping me to really fall into the book.

Until today, I had never read or even heard of this book. I vaguely remember hearing about the "gay penguins" years ago, but I didn't know that there was a children's book written about them. I see why the certain whack jobs would want the book banned - all the more reason to make sure this book is available to all! I will be adding this to my bookshelf soon!!!

I listened to a reading of this book for Banned Books Week: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMaqX96-jYA

This was an amazingly readable, rhyming, and poetic story about a witch and the friends she makes. I love it!

This was a sweet tale of a girl and her robot. What could be better?

This one creeped me out a smidge - a robot (and his "fingers") that can randomly do whatever they want unless a human is sensed? chills
