I'm a little conflicted on how I feel about his sudden growth and there are still a few editing issues, but damn. It's still incredible and I still love it! Also, his powers are pretty cool, but I like that he's got some blowback when using them. After all, it would be just a touch too convenient if he was suddenly able to do everything he wanted without any real consequences whatsoever. And I'm not talking about the social stigma consequences, I'm talking about actual physical consequences of him essentially dropping every time he uses too much power to do something like healing. I like that.
There are some inconsistencies in the details and the peeping is creepy.
Another Fifty Shades knock-off, but the guy can remove his thigh so clearly he's a robot!
Yep, tell your brother that you're getting freaky with your best friend. What could go wrong?
This one isn't too terrible, but they're both so snappy and crabby.
This has been on my to-read list for quite a while, but I've put it off because it was the first of a series and I knew that I would love it so much that I wouldn't be able to put it down. I was right. I absolutely adored this book and it was almost impossible to put it down and work or do other things.
While I won't pretend to be able to define consciousness, I will say that it's a topic that intrigues me after reading this book and I am looking forward to exploring it in the next books!

Wow... This was wonderful. Definitely a must read for those interested in the topic of whether the character of Jesus is pure fiction or truly existed as a human.
I'm sure that someone somewhere absolutely loves this book - it's just not me. Some bits are interesting, but mostly it's extremely predictable and tries to tie up its ending too neatly. Eventually I'll finish the series, but I'm not in a rush.

4.5 out of 5.0 stars
As with “Powers That Be,” the missing half-star is because of Yana and Sean. I never really see their relationship working romantically. Maybe it’s just the way my mind works or something, but I can’t quite put them together as the perfect couple. And just an FYI, by “perfect couple” I do not mean the kind that never fights and always gets along. I mean the couple that works through their problems no matter what comes their way. Technically, Yana and Sean fit that definition, but the way I interpret their personalities just doesn’t let them fit together that way.
Everything else about the book is perfect! :-D I may be biased, but McCaffrey’s books are worth taking the time to read. All of them are.
The very worst thing about this book is still Yana’s relationship with Sean. It still feels a little artificial to me. :-/
The very best thing about this book is, also, still Petaybee the sentient planet! Petaybee is more involved in this book, I think, and that makes it even better!

The very worst thing about this book is … Well, I can’t think of anything that I dislike, actually. O_o
The very best thing about this book is how entertaining this book is every time I read it. It never gets old!
