I find myself regularly amazed by books that have been in my to read list for ages, but get pushed back for one reason or another. I cannot believe I've waited this long to finally start this series! As the first in tree series, this book was fascinating and I'm Ajay staying the next one!!

Also, I love that Michael is a dwarf expert with applicable knowledge from a textbook. Nerd win!

Life has been interfering with my reading, but oh this book was delightful!!! Provided the story doesn't somehow go balls up in the third book, this series will be on my reread list for years to come!

Fascinating short story. I loved it!!

Somewhat terrifying, but incredibly amazing! It had an old school feel to it without being cheesy. I can't wait to read the rest in the series!

Vicky is strong, fascinating, stubborn, but willing (under some circumstances) to admit when she screwed up or was wrong. She's also kindhearted, generous to a fault, and very protective of hers. If there was nothing else to recommend this book, she would still be worth it. Luckily, though, there's also magic, werewolves (AKA Fenerec), and a shady behind the scenes government run by a Shadow Pope. (Heh. Shady, shadow. I'm punny or something!) It's set in current times, thankfully, but no one says "woot" or uses facebook (privacy, y'all!).

Definitely worth a read and she's on my auto-buy list!

Wow... That was an incredible story and I'm still loving the style

I didn't expect to finish it today, but it was so good that I couldn't stop. I can't wait to read more of his books!
