Just a short little bit from the beginning...

I always do this. I put off a series I know will be awesome just in case it isn't. Then, when I finally read it, I want to kick myself because they're so awesome and I waited so long to get song to them!!

This book was delightful! I cannot wait to dive into the rest of the series!!

I'm in love with this series... I think the dragonets are fantastic and pretty kickbutt! Haha!

I'm enjoying the opportunity to follow each dragon through their own discoveries. Starflight is exceptionally interesting to me, but I'm disappointing that not a single character gave him a version of "bravery is not being fearless, it is being afraid and doing it anyway" at some point. (If it's there, I missed it, but I don't think anyone did.) But he still did the necessary without words of encouragement, and that's pretty brave!

I love Glory's journey of discovery. To avoid spoilers, I won't mention my favorite parts, but she really steps up and I'm proud of her!!

Winter is fascinating and seeing Animus magic in action is truly a delight. I find it both creative and mischievous in how it furthers and intertwines with the story.

Moon is a wonderful new character and I'm loving the addition of

as an actual individual instead of a Boogeyman figure.

Oh Sunny! She finally gets a voice and she's the loudest of them all. I love that we finally get an explanation for her deformities!

Peril is a fascinating dragon and seeing how she handles a variety of situations with minimal social skills, no tact, and a confused sense of morality is delightful.
