Non-fiction so no rating, this is a brutal book. Not at all for the faint of heart.
It was actually physically tough to read, and I had to stop and take a moment several times.
Abuse, torture and general mistreatment of women in this made me sick and angry and also sad.
It was informative, but I'm not sure I needed the detail in parts, I don't this I could read this again, it was really full on.

I really enjoyed this, the end of a series that I have quite frankly smashed through.
I liked the three main characters and ending on Sidra who is a jinn was excellent, It was a great story and a feel good ending!

Non fiction, I don't really rate them usually but this should be required reading.
I had not heard of this until it was recommended by books that matter, and oh my am I glad I read this.
I only wish I had read this years earlier than I have.
It took me a little while to read the 110 pages as it gets through some quite hard topics in a very short space so I found myself taking a break from it, but yes, I would 100% recommend this.

I enjoyed this return to gilead, it was an excellent book, i will read this again. I am not sure why everyone hated this so much, I thought it was an excellent follow on and explanation of what happened to Gilead!!

Solid book, I've never read anything quite so real feeling, this is a great look at how women look at their own bodies and their internal monologues letting them feel lesser and not worth the work.
It was moving in parts, funny in others and overall I just liked our leading lady.
My only negative is it ended quite abruptly I suppose, no happy ever after just a feeling of you can do whatever you put your mind to if you work at it.

I liked this a lot, a really great book, and a great mystery I feel like it really upped the pace in the 2nd half!
I guess most have read this but I think this is a fantastic place to start if you want to read some classics but are daunted by older novels.
