This was an okay dystopian novel however I found it lacking maybe because it's so short also possibly because it's older and it felt like the past explaining the future and not quite hitting the mark. However I was interesting to be in this world and I enjoyed many parts of it, I also found it a bit of a meandering slog in places. 

I'm glad I've read it but I won't read it again. 

This was quite strange, but i enjoyed it. If you like tentacled seam monsters and weirdness this one is for you. 

I liked this one, it wasn't earth shattering and it was about 100 pages longer than it needed to be and I kept thinking it was the end and then it was like "and another thing" I definitely started to skim read towards the end. 
Pretty predictable and some really really questionable sex scenes but sure, pretty okay. 

Just a bit boring, wasn't my jam and felt a bit young for me. 

Solid book, enjoyed this but also found it to drag a little and found myself picking up and putting down lots so took me a while to get through, pulled a late night to finish off on Sunday. 

Its an interesting take on two identical twins taking very different paths. One living as a struggling black woman and one as a rich white woman. This not only follows their lives but how there decisions effect the lives of their own daughters. 

It was hard going in parts and definitely not a fluff piece but I think worth the time investment. 

One of the best books I have ever read. I was about 100 pages in when I decided I was in love with this book. 

It was beautifully told story, I loved the way it was split into her life in France in the distant past and how she came to be Addie LaRue in modern day America. 

I highly recommend this book, as I was initially sceptical of it as it was a book that everyone was raving about,so glad I gave it a chance. 

Rated it 4/5 stars quite liked it in the end but it was a bit slow going. 
I quite liked all the bit parts from the different gods who arrive in Circe's eternity, I think they showed different parts of her personality.  I quite enjoyed the part about Madea as I watched a stage show about it set to rock music and it was awesome. 

 I suppose the lesson is that you don't have to choose the path that is most obvious and perhaps if the life others want you to have isn't right you have to make a stand. I especially loved that Penelope gets to be a witch in the end. 

 It was nice that she stood up to her dad in the end and made a life for herself, she also learnt that there is power in being obedient and quietly listening.
I feel like I understand her decision I'm not sure if I liked it or not but I understand the need for an end, what is the point of eternity if you cannot enjoy the people you love. 

Just finished this one, The Emporer's Babe by Bernadine Evaristo, it was a @booksthatmatteruk box book, and I don't know how I feel about it, I spent half the book not particularly interested then the last part picks up and kind of ends up somewhere I wasn't expecting, I think maybe it's good, but also maybe this went over my head a bit.
Its fairly quick to read once you commit yourself to it as the book is written entirely in verse but also its kinda an odd way to consume a fiction novel.
It was different for sure but I don't know if it was good. Worth a try I reckon but I don't know who I would out right recommend this too, maybe someone who loves poetry?
I would say 2.5/5 stars ✨ , is my gut reaction to it. 😅

This was really weird and creepy, I enjoyed it a lot and would highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of horror. 
Its really strange and there is a bunch of paranormal activity in a seemingly normal furniture warehouse store.
