This has not lived up to the hype for me, I feel it was very very surface level.
I really didn't enjoy the main character, and I hated that she had to be mansplained even though the concepts were not hard to grasp.
Also figured out the ending less than half way through and it's painfully obvious that the moral is "appreciate what you've got" 😳🙄
Not for me!

This was another road trip book. I liked it a lot but I found the characters a little too woe is me without any sense that they are the ones who need to take responsibility for their actions and fuck ups.

Really enjoyed this one, thought it was really excellent.

This was hilarious, non fiction, but it made me laugh and I genuinely read lots of passages out to my other half who also without much context also laughed!
Loved this.

Didn't enjoy the audio book it just wasn't holding my attention
funny lighthearted reflective

Diary of a bookseller very lighthearted and  informative made me laugh a few times out loud. Dry sarcastic humor dealing with the general public!

I enjoyed this quite a lot, I thought it was an interesting audio book and I enjoyed hanging out with the main character.
Its not one of my all time favourites but it is a good book. I just wish she spent less time worrying about/talking about shitty  men and more time  talking about her absolutely wild party life and her own achievements getting published.

This was okay, I think it was just a little bit too young for me, a bit simple and not the best story.
I liked the characters and the plot was fine but nothing that really blew me away.
I liked Simon and Blue and their back and forth but other than that it was just about average.
No shade but yeah it was just not for me.

One of my favourite and weirdest books I've read so far in 2020. The Wrong Heaven by @amybonnaffons is funny, weird, strange and beautiful all in one breath. This is the first collection of short story's I have rated 5/5 ⭐s.
I think my favourite of the collection is called horse and it imagines a world where only women can change them selves into horses via a series of simple injections. It's bizzare but absolutely one of the best things I've read.
I also enjoyed the The Wrong Heaven where a young woman is going through the grief of her life not being what she thought it would be and the death of her beloved pet dog, so she buys a light up Virgin Mary and Jesus and they talk to her when she plugs them in.
Highly recommend this. Plus that cover is ace.

I was really looking forward to this book, I preordered it and everything.
I was disappointed to say the least, its not bad but its just that it really didn't need to be 2 books, I feel this could have been 1 book, and saved me 4.99.
The books focus on both sets of characters not just the spell makers then the Spellbreakers.
It was nice Elsie got her happy ending but the ending felt rushed.
I think if you go into this and just read one after the other you will have a better time of it, but I was just disappointed.
