This was a reread for me, I enjoyed the book a lot more than I remembered.
Its quite difficult to say that I really loved it, as its quite and uncomfortable read about the child victim of a rapist and serial killer.
I think the story is told with respect and emotion, it's very harrowing in parts but a good book without doubt.

A romance book, set around a woman with a lot of talent called Toni who does not seek fame and a boy from her past called Sebastian who manages a band who are about to hit the big time but their lead guitarist Candi is a uncommitted party girl and addict.

I really enjoyed this I felt the pacing was good and it was an enjoyable read.

Also very much a slow burn on the romance side of things, also quite smutty once we finally get there, but it does take a while for our characters to get their shit together.

It was easy to follow and the world building was excellent, I believe there will be other books to follow in the series and I am keen to read them, which, is quite unusual for me as I much prefer standalone novels.

I really enjoyed this, I thought it was the perfect spooky October book.

It was however a slow book and in parts it felt glacial.

I loved the haunting aspects and found the bits about Highgate cemetery particularly interesting.

The author dealt with death and mental health well, and I genuinely cared about the characters, even when they made shitty decisions.

I would recommend this if you like a slow burn book, it kind of put me in a slump and really had to force myself to finish this book up.

It really was a good book, but i think some of it could have been cut out just to speed it up a bit. Around 100 pages longer than I would have liked! 😂

If you liked vox, you'll enjoy Q it's basically the same book.
I thought it was okay, but not really anything to write home about!

This was an Agatha Christie novel with a slight twist, which I realised would be the twist far earlier than the author intended.

I did not solve the murder part of it though so it was a win for the author there.

It wasnt so much that it was a bad book, I just didn't connect with it, I felt it quite drawn out, it definitely isn't my usual kind of book, but I am glad I tried it.

Loved this book sat down and read it in nearly one sitting, I ended up staying up very late because I needed to know what was going to happen.

This book was sat in my kindle library for years and I am so glad I finally read it, such a fabulous novel!

Following a child who's Mum takes her to an isolated community that is obviously a cult, her escape and the way her upbringing effects her decions in adulthood.

Also the childhood friend who drags her back to his "community" which has some serious bad publicity.

I enjoyed this, and thought it was an excellent book.
