the perfect read when grief hit me and sadness was all-consuming — the way @revelatori puts words + pictures to feelings and growth, healing and hope, and SO MUCH MORE is just beauuuutiful. i’ve long loved her work and everything she shares on insta, and this book was all of the best of her heart + art, mixed with really helpful prompts to consider, too. i can tend to find books with journal prompts cheesy or trite, but this one NAILED IT and was so, so meaningful. looooooved it. big fan.

february’s #alltheradreadsbookclub pick was GREAT for discussion and had such an intriguing concept! strings arrived at everyone’s doors one day that ultimately represented the length of one’s life, and it had me thinking so much about if i would want to know my lifespan or not. y’all KNOW i love spoilers but ultimately, while it might be kinda nice to know loosely how long i’d live, i think it would cause more harm than good. i had so many questions after finishing this one (and annoyances about plot holes, for sure) but am so glad i read it! definitely a perfect book club pick.

essential reading for faith deconstruction journeys. 🔥 this one met me right when i needed it, when everything truly felt on fire, and i was clinging to the ashes of what felt scorched around me, and i was trying to breathe life into the embers of what i knew to be true. i so appreciate the reframing this book offered me, and the fresh ways of seeing my faith and Jesus even after/in hurts and failings from the church at large.

needless to say, it was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me. (you can always find all of them at #radfivestarfaves btw!)
