if any other hot single dad cowboys are looking for a live-in nanny, i would very much like to live out my own version of this story plz and thx!!!

holy MOLY this book is GOOD ❤️‍🔥

book 2 in the chestnut springs series and far and above my fave so far — it’s got all the best tropes (and ones i normally don’t even like but in this book i LOVED) and the BEST tension and steamiest (I MEAN STEAMIEST) spice and also the SWEETEST kiddo and just all the best lines.

big love for this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

this book WAS something wild and wonderful, and also tender and touching, and sweet and sad and real. it caught me by surprise but had me tearing up at the end! 🥹 lex + ben 5ever!!!

if you like hiking or found family or cinnamon roll MCs or queer love stories or self-discovery or evolutions in faith/work/family dynamics or seeing how someone wrestles through their parents not supporting them coming out (👎🏼) but finding true love and family in the process (🙌🏼)… you’ll love this one like i did. 🥰

if great british baking show and clue had a baby, it would be this book! 🍰🩸 our june #alltheradreadsbookclub pick was a fun murder mystery with a great cast of characters (just don’t listen on audio, it was… not a good listening experience, unfortunately) and twists that kept me guessing constantly. it had the cozy charm of a british baking show (but set in america) and layers to the characters that developed well as the story progressed, and my only complaint is that i wanted even more!!

this book had me HOOKED from the first flip back in time. 🤯 jen saw her teenage son stab a stranger— she literally had his blood on her hands!!!— but when she wakes up the next morning, her son isn’t in custody, he’s home, and it’s like it never happened. (because it hadn’t yet!)

as time continues to move backwards, jen realizes she needs to work out not just how but why and who…

i freaking loved it.

and also! i appreciated that jen was SMART about things! like, at every turn, she was doing things i would have done to try to figure out what was happening and how to stop it and how to get back to reality. none of that clueless, frustrating main character crap! props to gillian for writing a truly believable time warp mind ending murder mystery with more twists and turns than i could have ever predicted— this was for sure a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me! (great on audio too!)

new favorite book?!? ever? 🥹 my heart was EXPLODING with this one!!!

this is grumpy/sunshine at its absolute FINEST 🏆

it had me laughing out loud, squealing with joy, crying over the tenderness, melting melting melting… just FEELING THINGS.

the long lost sapphic love story, the roadtrip, the b&b with a million jesus paintings, the broccoli festival?!? EVERY DETAIL WAS PERFECT gahhhhh i loved it so much i am crying again just thinking about it

it took me FAR too long to read this one — i mean, the queen @authorabbyjimenez herself sent me an ARC months ago!!! — but it also was the PERFECT timing. i looooved this gem, just like ive loved every other book abby has gifted us, they’re all, ALL, five star treasures. this one had me squealing and sobbing and melting into a whole puddle, i looooved it.

to be back in the “part of your world” world again was so so good 🥰

a perfect juneteenth read. 🔥 @stewartdantec wrote a powerful, important, heartbreakingly honest, unflinching, stunning work of art with this one, and it grieved me (i still have tears in my eyes from how deeply it impacted me), gave me hope, made me rage, and made me reflect. an absolute must-read, and danté is a must-follow, too. what a gift his words are. masterful.
