tbh, i didn’t expect to like this one… 🫣 i was noooooot a fan of the love hypothesis (like, big ole one star) so i did not think this would be much different when i saw @librofm offering it as an ALC this month but i gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised! i really enjoyed it, loving the fake dating side gig and the science talk and ace representation and overall storyline! 

this is book #2 in a series i definitely did not read book #1 in, but @bibliolifestyle sent it to me and i was in the mood for a fun, read in a day romance! 

the gist: 
💍an heiress needs a husband.
🍇a vineyard owner needs a loan.
🍷his wine needs help. she’s from a wine family. 
💒a quickie wedding would benefit them both. 
🔥he thinks she’s hot. (they’ve met before, ofc)

you’ll be SHOCKED to know how it turned out… 😏

spotted this one on @bookshelftville’s summer bingo, and then @librofm had it as an influencer alc! win-win! 

i was expecting light and instead got a touching story of finding yourself again after loss, explorations in navigating grief, and a quirky cast of characters. 

i really enjoyed it! it’s hopeful and sweet and fun along the way, too.

finally got around to reading this one and… wow. it’s not a fun read but it feels like an important one, vulnerable and honest and frankly pretty uncomfortable to experience. proud of her for sharing her story and speaking of her family the way she did, shedding light on her reality and the trauma she endured. 

it reminded me of educated, or the sound of gravel. searing and strong and a story worth reading. 

this one is so cuuuuutie!!! love a good girl/bad boy dynamic (mainly because i LOVE bad boys 😈), a small town setting, a dating coach turned fake-ish dating turned reaaaaal! if you like your romance on the clean, fade to black side of things, sarah adams is for you. 10/10 every time!

(this is technically #2 in the when in rome series but could standalone as it’s just characters you first meet in book #1!)

@faganchelsea wrote THE book of summer with this one — it’s set in france, it’s got friendships and flirtations, it’s got a hot younger man 😏, it’s got old money and estates with flowing wine, it’s got an independent main character who follows her heart… it’s got it all. i flew through it on a sunny saturday on my back porch and loved it!!
