alltheradreads's Reviews (1.9k)

I try very hard not to be solely critical in my reviewing of books, knowing how hard it is to write them and how personal they are. And, you know, the whole “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all” rule and all that. So... I will just tell you that I read this one, it wasn’t for me, and I wouldn’t recommend it. That’s all, the end, goodbye.

An easy, breezy one day read I thoroughly enjoyed! A bucket list left behind by a MIA BFF leads to fun adventures and the blossoming of the main character and a sweet ending and i was here for it all.

FINALLY finished book 3 and OH MY GOSH I had all the feels! It took me a bit longer to really get in the groove with this one but it was WORTH IT. This series has wrecked me and I love it and I’m so glad I looked past the covers.

I’ve been wanting/needing new poets in my life, and I’m so glad I discovered @maggiesmithpoet. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. This collection was worth it for “Good Bones” alone— a new favorite, for sure.

I. Love. This. Book. SO MUCH.

If you like Grey’s Anatomy and medical dramas, if you’re a fan of books that tackle current and controversial topics, if you love a good diverse cast of characters, this is a book for you! I couldn’t put it down and was so impressed by the combo of Martin’s medical background + engaging writing style. Cannot wait to keep reading more from her! (Her first book Queen of Hearts was also so good!!)

Thanks for the free book, @randomhouse! // This was a one-day read for me, and I fought sleep to finish it because I just needed to know how it ended. Overall, the title should have clued me in to the goal of this one— truly, nobody can be trusted and the truth is buried under a whole lot of lies that ultimately weren’t super believable or compelling, but hey, it took me for a wild ride!

A solidly cute, cheesy, predictable, enjoyable rom-com book that made for a lovely, breezy weekend read.

Listened to half of this one on audio and finished it up with my used copy, and while there were some interesting stories about Gloria’s life on the road over the years as a journalist and speaker and activist, I was mostly pretty unenthused about this one.

trilogy, tied up loose ends, kept me guessing, and put Stevie and her detective skills in the spotlight. Such fun reads, such great twists and layers, and so worth reading.
