I only just found out this comic existed and after reading and loving the Nova (Marvel Now) series earlier this year I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pick this up!
If you enjoyed the Nova series then you should definitely pick it up, Sam has definitely matured a bit but he still has his lovable and sarcastic personality.

This was adorable. The End of the World is a sad short novella and I loved it. I wasn't 100% sure I was going to read it but I'm glad I did.

This book has been on my Goodreads tbr for literal years so I am proud to say I have finally read it. This gn gets pretty good reviews and it's by a new favourite author of mine, so naturally I've been hyping it up FOR YEARS.

You wouldn't know it by the amount of time it took me to get through this novel but I actually loved it. This was a refreshing change from what I usually read, and I'm so glad I randomly picked it up because Amy Pond and Fitz were on the cover.

I have seen many reviews on this children’s storybook and I really have to say, before I get into this review that I am unimpressed. People, do your research before you write a review. The Rabbits is an allegory, representing the arrival of the Europeans in Australia and how they took over the land and caused destruction left, right and centre.
The Rabbits is a masterpiece. Beautiful artwork to tell a terrible tale. The rabbits, being a well-known pest in Australia, represent the Europeans as they take over Australia.
The main controversy surrounding The Rabbits, is that it is a picture book, therefore it must be for children, right? Wrong, anyone can read a picture book. But, not everyone can understand it. Which is evident in a lot of the reviews on Goodreads. People read the book but don’t understand the message the story presents, you don’t understand the story of what really happened when the Rabbits arrived.
This story was written and illustrated for older readers. It depends on the person, if you’re too thick, you’re too thick. A young child may get a lot out of this story and a grown adult may be left wondering why you would read this to a child. The story parallels with the history of the colonisation in
Australia.
Yes, this book is confronting. Yes, it might be hard to read. But, it tells the story of what really happened, and is a must read for everyone, thick or not.

I am experiencing soo many emotions right now.
01 My bae is evil now and i am actually dead.
02 Everything is horrible bc the bae
03 Ghastly is sad and now I am sad
04 I will never be over this, Landy. Never
05 I think we have a love triangle in the works, I did not sign up for this
06 The books are definitely getting darker
07 I feel like Fletcher and Val are gonna break up in a book or two
08 Also, I'm still bitter abt points 1,2,3 & 4
09 Overall, I loved this novel, many people died and many people were possessed by evil remnants and i loved it. I cannot wait to read the next book because I am LIVING!
Guys, seriously, do yourself a favour. Read these books.

I read this a few years ago and was less than impressed but I honestly forgot that I'd ever read this and I recently felt the need to watch the movies (which I still haven't done) so I decided to try reading this until I watch the movies. I won't lie, I know absolutely nothing about this world but, I did enjoy this. I won't say it was amazing, but I'm certainly interested in continuing this series. Honestly, this book might have just pulled me out of my reading slump.

Okay, so full disclaimer, I would just like to say that I know next to nothing about Narnia except for James McAvoy is in it and there’s a wardrobe and the wardrobe only turned up in the story in the last page so I feel slightly lied to, to be honest. So, reading this I really had no expectations and was just reading to enjoy a children’s story with some portal fantasy elements.
I don’t have too many thoughts on this instalment in the series but I wanted to talk about it anyway, so bare for me for a minute. I went into this with literally no idea about Narnia or the characters but I was a little surprised at first at this being a prequel. I shouldn’t have been, I should’ve done at least the bare minimum amount of research and found out that the main group pf characters don’t arrive until the next book and that this is just an explanation/origin story of how the wardrobe came to be.
I’ll be honest, the high-key Christianity ties were pretty obvious like I quickly got the vibe that the lion is God etc etc. but apart from that this was actually pretty interesting, enough that I immediately read book 2 after finishing this.
I actually think I might continue the series later in the year or when I next feel the need to read really short books. This didn’t dissuade me from wanting to read the other books and I think this was a good length. I think if it had been much longer I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much. And I hope the other books continue on the same size trend. I really like the idea of just being able to read these books over a day or two and then being able to move on. This is probably why they make such popular movies.
All in all, I will definitely continue this series and I really enjoyed how short it is and the bbc audiobook because it was a full cast and made the experience so much better! I have never been interested in Narnia before but now I kind of want to go and watch the movies because I’ve heard the first two are pretty good!
