This was a cute little story with awesome art, I cannot wait for the next instalment.

I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. I really enjoyed Miles Morales as a character but some of his choices (view spoiler) really didn't resonate with me, I also feel pretty iffy about his friend, Ganke who Miles seems to really appreciate. (view spoiler)

I was sent the first chapter of this via netgalley.

Review of chapter 1:

I really enjoyed this but bloody hell was it hard to get into. It took me 3 goes to get into this, and I only read chapter one. I honestly don't know, had I been sent the entirety of the book, whether or not I would've made it even a quarter of the way through. Eventually, I had to get the audio because I couldn't even get through the first few pages. My lack of enjoyment for this book was probably because I'm currently in some of the most stressful weeks of the term at school, and just don't have the mind space for a new world or a 7 book series.

However, I will say this, I am intrigued and the ending of chapter 1 certianly tunred my tail up. I will probably pick this book up in a year or two, when I have more time to devote to it and more of the books are out.

I tried to read this a few months ago and was loving it but didn't have the time to invest in such a monumental and interesting book. But I saw it at the library the other day and figured I would listen to it and read along.

it was everything I wanted it to be and more, I am so glad I read it. If you are a fan of Hamilton you should probably pick this one up.

This is genuinely a good book but the romance was so unbelievable and underdeveloped that it brought the whole book down.

2.5? 3 stars? idk guys

Honestly, this started out so strong, I was thinking 4.5 or 5 stars and then bam the romance. No thank you, please leave, this is not what I signed up for.

The first book started out so strong, I had such high hopes for its sequel - so of course, I've let myself down.
I really didn't enjoy this, the characters were annoying and I was bored.

My brother recently got really into the anime of this and for some reason I decided to only watch the final with him (bad idea) and I really enjoyed it so I decided to read the books over time. The only problem is I already know everything that happens.

No all I have to do is decide whether or not to re-read Cinder or Alex Rider.

Growing up this was one of my favourite series and today I was writing ablog post where I happened to mention this series and I suddenly got all nostalgic about Alex and his spying adventures. I am so glad I re-read this and I can't wait to continue re-reading this series.

This is one of my favourite books from my childhood so of course, I have a soft spot for it. But, I have to say I think I prefer the screen adaptation of this mission. Sorry not sorry, please go watch the show.

I don't really know what to say. When I was 12 this book was absolutely wild to me and one of my favourites in the series, but rereading it now it just feels super formulaic and obvious.

I think I probably enjoyed this one more when I was younger but I still really loved it. I didn't intend to read this so close after I read book 1 but oh well, the series re-read is well and truly underway!
