Yo, Marie Lu I officially love your writing and your characterisation of Bruce Wayne. Can I have a sequel, please?
I honestly didn't think I would pick this up but I did, and guess what... in an honest twist, I actually loved it. I can't wait to pick up more of Marie Lu's books.

Yo, so I could totally do with a 2nd trilogy with these characters. Or a Hearthstone Blitzen buddy cop standalone. Or, ya know, a 2nd trilogy. That cannot be how it ended, right??? I still have too many questions.
Also, I love Alex Fierro.
Also, Hearthstone saved my life.

This comic made no sense. I'm sad the series is over but damn, this was a completely random trade, it made no sense.

The fat rep + anxiety rep in this book could save a life tbh.

This was a fun little mg mystery and I'll definitely pick up book 2 if I come across it in my travels.

This was kind of weird and repetitive. It definitely wasn't as dark as I had assumed/ heard it was so it is all good for kids to read. I think I'll give my copy to my brother to read, he'll probably enjoy it more than me.

I feel like I swore entirely too much while reading this. It. Was. Terrible.

Most of my experience reading this went a little like this:
This is poetry? Well, fuck me, because it looks like the author just got a little too up close and personal with the enter key.

But, I did still really enjoy some of the poems. I actually hated most of the "princess" or royalty-themed ones with the crossed-out words, but occasionally some of the others really hit me in the ol' feels box.

Concept: 4 stars
Plot: 2.5 stars
Retelling: 2 stars

As far as retellings go this was pretty lacklustre and the romance felt like it really took over towards the last 60 or so pages. It was a good idea but the whole fae element was crazy unexpected.
