This was nuts. I watched the movie on a whim the other day and really enjoyed it, so naturally I had to pick up the book too. I wasn't expecting to like this but I wanted to give it a go anyway, and low and behold, I enjoyed it!
This book is full of plot twist after plot twist and I loved it. I also really enjoyed the writing style. I wouldn't say no to picking up book 2.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I did the first time I read it, but it's still doesn't feel like it's own thing - it reminded me of Lumberjanes in Uni more than anything else. (It doesn't help that one of the characters in Giant Days looks exactly like another character in Lumberjanes)
Also, this is totally a bit pick but are you trying to tell me that this comic is set in Britain? Because it feels very American.

I really wanted to love this book and for the first 100 or so pages, I did. I thought this was going to a really fun and interesting historical mystery that I would be gushing about for days. But, unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. I think that if you are a fan of the scenery and general vibe of Jane Eyre or Persuasion you might enjoy this and if you like a mystery with a prominent love story this will be for you. I wish I would have loved this more but, unfortunately, there was too much romance and not enough blood for me (yes, I am aware that I sound like a psychopath).

This was so good. Much like the rest of the books in this series, this book was massive and so much happened, while nothing happened at the same time. This is such a good series and I definitely recommend it! I can't wait for book 4!

I really enjoyed this. I don't usually read domestic mysteries but I thought I would try one out and I really enjoyed it. I also really really loved the commentary on what it means to be a mother and I thought it was really interesting to sow harshly mothers are judged by not only their husbands and the general public, but by other mothers.

Unpopular opinion but this was not good.
The ending battle scene was phenomenal and the last 25% of the book was quite interesting but the entire rest of the book was some of the most boring-why-didn't-i-dnf-this trash I've read since Zenith, so colour me unimpressed.
rtc but I really just felt like for me at least, this book just didn't reach its full potential. (don't hate me)
