I already knew I was going to devour this book just because it's pure nostalgia for me. Still, I was a bit worried that it wouldn't necessarily be an easy read, but I'm happy to report that this book is really well-written and easily digestible! I was also worried this might be a total gossip cash grab but no, this book stayed true to it's name and truly does take you through the life of the Disney Channel from beginning to end, with some focus on the bigger stars like Shia LaBeouf, Miley Cyrus, Raven Simone, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers. I haven't seen all of the iconic Disney Channel shows or DComs but, I do vividly remember loving Lizzie McGuire and Hannah Montanna when I was a kid so of course I loved the chapters on those shows, but I also found the other sections on stars or shows I knew next to nothing about to be really informative and interesting. My attention was not lost for a single second of this book and I highly recommend it!

Terry Pratchett, you really had to go and write your own twist on fairytales, didn't you? The Witches series of The Discworld is possibly my least favourite to read, but I really enjoyed this one!

DNF @ 30%
I have no doubt that this book is as good as everyone says it is, but I got 30% of the way through before I decided that this wasn't the book for me. I thought the setting and the idea of the masks was so unsettling and horrifying and something I really would liked to delve deeper into. But, the threat of SA feeling so real (absolute props to Sabaa Tahir because she made me feel every ounce of fear Laia felt) made me feel too sick to keep reading.
Always put your mental health first folks, even if it means DNFing a good book. ❤️

I don't know what Melissa Landers put in this to make me love it so much but I ate this up! I will absolutely be picking up the second book when it comes out!

"Oh, you giggled at Edith's sonnet? Sounds like someone's about to be found clubbed to death with a typewriter, their mouth stuffed full of poems."
There are a few really good lines but, mostly this book is a waste of time. Thinking back (keep in mind I read this in roughly 15 mins and started writing my review immediately after), the only things i Can vaguely remember about this book are something about all the best stuff happening inside of walls and stairs being xylophones of death.
✨ 06/100 read for 100 Graphics in a Year Reading Challenge ✨

This is one of those collections that I would hate myself for buying. But, if no one buys it how will I read it? I stumbled upon this one while browsing in the library and thought the title was funny. I liked the artstyle but had it read in under 10 minutes and will probably never think about it again.

I historically do not enjoy short stories or anthologies and I've only read the first two Scholomance books so I had everything going against me with this book but I decided to read it anyway... because the cover was pretty 🙈🤷♀️. It had some big wins and some that I could have gone on living without ever having read.
If you read any of the stores from this collection, make sure you read Buried Deep + The Long Way Round.
Adaminta, or, The Wreck of the Amphidrake ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Did I just find...an actually good pirate story?? Someone hold me, this is a big moment. I really enjoyed the vibes of this one, fantasy creatures, pirates and the Victorian era. 🤌
After Hours ⭐️⭐️
Maybe its because i never finished the last Scholomance book but this was just so boring and pointless.
Vici ⭐️⭐️
Making dragons boring is actually an incredible feat.
Buried Deep ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I can absolutely see why the anthology was named after this story because it was absolutely brilliant. If you read any of the stories from this collection, make sure you read this one.
Spinning Silver ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I am so intrigued. This really did feel like an old fairytale. Now I want to badly to read the full length novel of the same name.
Commonplace ⭐️⭐️
A short story about Irene Adler???? With a serious hint at johnlock???? And it was boring????
Seven ⭐️⭐️
No clue what I just read.
Blessings ⭐️⭐️⭐️
You know, this one was actually quite good. I love twists on fairy godmother stories.
Lord Dunsay's Teapot ⭐️
I think I missed something with this one because I just don't know what the point of it was.
Seven Years from Home ⭐️
I was so excited at first when I realised this was scifi but then I quickly lost that excitement. This was not the story for me.
Dragons & Decorum ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
This was the most random pride and prejudice fan fic ever but honestly it was so fun??? Pride and Prejudice AND dragons??!?! Sign me up!
Castle Coeurlieu ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have no idea what i just read but the ending was interesting and i liked the gothic feel!
The Long Way Round ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
They had me in the first half of this collection I'm not gonna lie, but they clearly saved one of the best for last. I loved every second of this and my jaw was on the floor at that ending!
