I'm both confused and enchanted.
the only minus was the age gap romance that came out of nowhere. Not because I have anything against age-gap romance, but because it had zero build up, and I thought Dorian was like grandpa age 🙈

This installment was the weakest in the series so far for me. I did not care for Nona as an MC, her type of innocent, naive, "I love everyone" character is just not for me. I also spent most of this book extremely confused, which I know is a weird complaint when this series is famously confusing, I just think that there's good confused and bad confused and this veered towards the latter.
I also missed my blorbos. Gideon & Harrow I love you <333
However, I did like finding out more about John's past and how the world got to where it is now in the series, and I think I have a crush on Pyrrha. I also love the rest of the cast of weirdos, and having a dog in a book is always a big bonus.

Like with all story collections, this had weaker and stronger stories. My faves were Welcome Back to the Cosmos for creepiness, Queeniums for Greenium! for being hilarious satire, The Black Strings for being the most interesting, and Foxglove. My least fave was Cemetery Dance Party for the MC being weirdly lighthearted about flesh eating zombies. I think it was supposed to be funny?
Unfortunately, I did not like this :( the writing and the plot was meh, and you are dropped right into the middle of the relationship, and you are given no idea why these men are in love or what they actually like about each other.
it was fine I guess, finding out about the society back then was the most interesting part
