Everything about this book was sweet. The characters, the premise, the writing, all of it! I loved the side characters almost as much as the main (I’m going to need a whole book devoted to Gretel!), and I loved the journey that Teddy and Everett went on. 

Overall this was a really fun story! Olive was great, and I’m glad that the misunderstanding in this romance book was a little more complex than it sometimes can be. Communication wasn’t the issue in this one, which is a nice change. I wished for a little more depth, or some different pacing at points, but in the end I still really liked this book!

I liked the writing of this a lot, and the story was really interesting. There was enough excitement to keep the story going, although i almost wish it was a little faster paced. It was obvious to me, though, that this was a debut book. The language was pretty, but some of the characters or moments felt underdeveloped in places. Enjoyable overall, though, and I’ll be interested to see other works by this writer. 

As much as I liked this book, I didn’t love this one as much as the other ones in the series. I loved India as a character, and it was nice to get such a focus on Yash when he’d been featured so prominently in the other books. There was just something missing for me to enjoy it more, and I’m not sure what it was. I’ll eagerly read the last book in this series when it comes out, though! Admittedly, however, I am curious what it will be as the author said it will feature Vansh and Esha (who have been interesting side characters throughout the books, but are also cousins so I don’t know how that will play out!).

As a dedicated viewer and critic of The Bachelor franchise, I was instantly drawn into this book. The characters, though, are what kept me around. Both Dev and Charlie are wonderfully complex and given such real depth to their struggles that their journey is so compelling. The humor brought a lot of joy to this book as well as the incredible cast of characters that filled out this world. I will be eagerly awaiting more books from Alison Cochrun!

This is yet another book I’ve read this year about fictional 70’s musicians, and it stacks up with the others. This a book of challenging stories and complicated people. This was harsher and grittier than the other similar books, and Opal Jewel is a steadfastly unique and complex character that drives this whole book. This book feels important, and I hope other people give it its due. 

Very interesting book that really highlights the ways our world is not built to support single women. I loved the variety of backgrounds and experiences of the women that were interviewed. It definitely made me think, and feel validated in my single-hood!

This book was beautiful. It had a great dual story, with the Hightower men and the women they loved. It’s such an interesting idea for a book. Very worth the read. 

The only reason this doesn’t get a full 5 stars from me is that the Netflix adaptation set my expectations super high, and the characters in the show have just a bit more depth to them. The story was still fun, and the artwork is beautiful and the story is fun and weird, it just didn’t have the complete magic of the series. I’m excited to read the other issues, though!

The Brown sisters series is definitely worth the hype. Dani and Zaf were wonderfully complex and hilarious, and this book made me swoon and cry and smile like any good romance should!
