I don’t often like historical fiction, but this one was fast-paced enough to keep me interested. It was light and quick, with a well developed enough storyline to hold my attention. I don’t know if I’ll read the authors other books, but I’m glad I got out of my normal reading habits!

I had a hard time getting into this one, and it took me a while to get invested. But then things got wild and I was hooked! It’s such a powerful story and one that more people need to read. 

I've had this book on my radar for a while, and I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. This book does such a good job at making you feel the grief of the main character. You are fully in her head the whole time and her emotions are described in such a way that make her feel so real. The tragedy she goes through is so heartbreaking, and my only criticism is that I wish that the full story was revealed a little sooner. It's not until the last fifty pages that you really understand what she went through, but even still this was a beautiful, heartbreaking, and hopeful story all around.

Coming off of the previous book, I had low expectations for this one, and to my surprise I really loved it! I loved the slow burn between Max and Dani, and their chemistry was amazing. The last part of the book felt a little off, like it was too fast and there were too many things to throw in at the end. I especially was not a fan of

the death of Max’s father and it’s affect on Sebastian

, but overall my enjoyment of the book overwhelmed those qualms. 

This book was just fine. It was cute and had some sexy moments, but the story itself was pretty simple. The author even says it’s supposed to feel like a hallmark Christmas movie, but this book is almost too simple for me. 

This was a great follow-up to Six of Crows. Both of these books surprised me, as I didn't enjoy Shadow and Bone that much, but overall this story in the Grishaverse was very engaging and fun. I loved the characters and the ride they went on in this one, and the plot was intricate enough that I already want to reread it to catch what I missed. This was the most fun I've had reading a YA book in a long time!

I liked this more than i thought I would, even if some parts were a bit predictable. However, there were still lots of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, and the fast pace made it really enjoyable. 

Wow, did I love this book!! The premise was exactly the thing to draw me in: a fictional documentary about a 70’s rock band. As someone who grew up loving music and the stories of musicians, I knew this would be a great book and I was so right. All of the characters were amazing and they way that it perfectly replicated a music documentary was incredible. Probably one of my favorite reads from this year so far!
