This was a really great YA. The modern take on Arthurian legend was fresh and fun, and the characters felt fully realized. The ending was a bit rushed, but I’m excited to see where the series goes. 

The ways good is explored in this book is so fascinating! The authors relationships with family and food are discussed in refreshing ways and really make the experience of food more enjoyable. 

I wasn’t a huge fan of this one. The mystery was interesting, but I felt like I never connected with the narrator. She trauma dumped at the beginning, and definitely told us a lot about her relationship with Owen, but her being able to magically solve everything at the end was a bit much. 

This book is all about the vibes. It's perfectly acceptable YA, with a very interesting magic system. I liked the atmosphere of this book, and the cover is absolutely gorgeous. But, it felt like a lot of things just happened. The main character just happens to be the target for several attempts at sabotage. The main character just happens to see a cute boy and develop feelings for him. The main character just happens to find herself embroiled in a large political plot. But, still, for YA this was interesting. I'm intrigued enough to want to read the second book, even if I don't think the plotting will get more intricate. 

I haven’t read a retelling in a while, and this was a perfect one to come back to! This was an excellent retelling of Emma. It kept the important parts and brilliantly updated them, while digging more into Kamila/Emma’s character development. And Rohan, ugh swoon! This is definitely one of my favorite romcoms that I’ve read in a while!

This is such an important book that absolutely everyone needs to read. End of story. 

This trilogy ended up being so much more than I imagined. The depth of emotions I have for these characters is unreal. Normally, I would think a book like this had too many perspectives or characters, but somehow it works. I ended up being absolutely delighted by the Lumatere Chronicles and I feel like I need to read them all over again. 

This book was a good look at a father, and his childhood as a celebrity. I did feel a bit of a disconnect from the writer, which lessened my enjoyment, but it was still a good story with good artwork. 

This was a good dance memoir, and I liked the art that was in it. It’s a really good and (I presume) relatable for people who have made their identity their sport, and then an injury keeps them from pursuing it.
