While this story was simple, I really really loved it. It had a lot of heart and a great main character. The discussions and fallout of grief were beautiful, and I loved how Greta and her dad were able to work on their issues. The love story was fine, but it wasn’t my favorite part. I’m glad I read this. 

The problem with this series is that the show is just better. The characters are more developed and the story is more cohesive. I ended up liking the story in Hotel Oblivion, but it took me about half the time to even figure out what was happening. Once everything came together it got a lot better. That cliffhanger at the end got me enough to read the next volume, if it ever comes out. 

I had basically no expectations coming into this book, but I was still disappointed. Both characters were very unlikeable and pretty much nothing happened. The art style was good, though. 

This story was a wonderful Scottish-fairytale driven adventure. It had a wonderful slow burn romance, another that was two people recognizing their love for each other, a rich backstory based in Scottish folklore, and a world that was beautifully written. It was a bit slow at times, but it still is a fast read. I’m very anxious for the second book now, because the ending was a bit of a cliffhanger. This would make an excellent movie!

While I can’t say I disliked this book, there just wasn’t that much to it. It went far too fast, taking place all in a day, and there was little to no chemistry between the characters. Hannah was a bit much, being very negative and judgemental, Simon was boring, and Leo was more like a manic pixie dream guy than an actual character. Mildly entertaining, but not much else in my opinion. 

What a great book of magic and love, with some surprising spiciness. I enjoyed the characters a lot, and the world building was very well done. The mystery itself was engaging, but not my favorite part. I am definitely invested and eagerly awaiting the next volume in the trilogy!

A perfectly entertaining romcom, just not my favorite. Laura was funny and interesting, and Ted was great, but overall this just felt bland to me. I didn’t get why Laura was so insistent on jasper, or why her friend (who is a self reported feminist) was not only pushing for her friend to find a partner but also too on board with jasper. Again, I liked it, but wasn’t my overall favorite. 

I still feel like I’m missing something with this series, but it’s so rich and complex that I’m drawn to it anyway. I loved the addition of Nassun in this, and Essuns story was also well written. I’ll be interested to see how this series ends, because I have absolutely no idea where it will go next!

This was just such a fun time. It was a ridiculous concept that actually paid off in a way that I really enjoyed. I liked Gray’s futures for all of the characters, and Jonathan and Juliet were fun new additions. The resolution of the mystery was satisfying, even if it was a bit predictable. Overall a fun read!

By far my favorite book of the series. I’ve been out on historical romance lately, but this one has made me more open to reading others like it. I loved Emily and Julian’s chemistry, and their emotional journey felt very real. It was so fun to see Emily discover new sides to her, and to be allowed to be herself with Julian. Very fun, very funny, and very romantic.
