This was an interesting look at Agatha Christie’s disappearance, especially with its choice of narrator. The author gave Nan such a tragic story, but even still I didn’t ever quite root for her. There was always something that kept her farther away, or maybe that was just my reading of it. I liked it overall, though, even if the forcibly happy ending with a bit much for me. 

Almost a paranormal John Tucker Must Die, but if Brittany Snow and Sophia Bush ended up together. I liked this world more than I thought I would and I enjoyed the story overall!

Emily Henry does it again! This book made me laugh out loud so many times and the chemistry between the leads was off the charts. While I still like Beach Read more, this is a close second!

I love Alexis Hall’s humor, and his characters are always amazing. In this one, though, I was a little more annoyed with them than I usually am. I found Arabella to be extremely irritating, and I was overly annoyed by everything Valentine was put through. The romance was great, though, and having that many queer characters in a historical romance was wonderful. 

This book was very well written. There was some beautiful language in this, and it especially discussed books in a great way. But the actual plot of this book wasn’t as interesting. There were a few too many threads for me, and the resolution with the ghost I found confusing. Maybe it was hinted earlier and I missed it, but I just left it wondering how we got there. This was also one of the first books I read that directly confronted the realities of the past few years and while it was interesting I think it’s still a bit too fresh for me to read about. I might like this better with a little more distance from these events.

I really really liked this book. It was complex and funny and had really great characters. In true Casey McQuiston fashion, her side characters are just as much (if not more) compelling as her main ones. This feels like an important YA book, and one I want my students to read. 

“Delightfully bonkers” as another reviewer put it, is the perfect way to describe this book! I wasn’t prepared for how zany and funny this story was. The chemistry between Ned and Cecilia was just wonderful, and I loved getting Neds perspective as he fell in love with her. This is how I like my historical romance: weird, funny, and romantic!

This was another fun adventure with Murderbot and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s fast but well paced and the story unfolds in an interesting way. ART was a great addition as well!

This book was surprisingly delightful. I loved all of the characters and the world the author built, and the mystery, while simple, worked really well. I never would have thought that a woodland creature mystery would be this fun, but I’m glad I was wrong!

This was a great mix of a heist novel and social/cultural criticism. It blended both the fun of a heist with a really interesting and intimate discussion on having multiple identities, and different types of relationships with a home country. I liked all of the characters in this and, while the ending was a bit contrite, I really enjoyed it overall!
