The premise of this was better for me than the execution. It took far too long for interesting things to happen, and I couldn’t tell if the author wanted us to like the narrator or not. I think this would make a better movie or tv show than a book. 

This book is perfect. 

This had some good writing in it, but the overall concept was just a bit too big. The idea that her parents would be scared of her didn’t make sense. The pacing was also a bit strange—even with the time travel. Ultimately this was a better idea than executed story to me. 

This was very cute and had a lot going on (in a good way). Wyn was frustrating at times, but I always understood her. Three was a great male protagonist. I wish we got even more from her roommates, they were a great addition to the story!

Delightful as always. The larger historical context made this one extra interesting. The chemistry between Veronica and Stoker is still 10/10, thankfully. 

Very interesting book that remained optimistic throughout. It was a refreshing take on our climate and world, and also great actionable steps to keep moving in the right direction. 

This is a perfect book. No notes. 

It’s a testament to the writer with how much I enjoyed this book, since sports are not my thing. But this book was filled with so much heart that I was very invested in Tre and the journey of the Warriors. The nuances of Indigenous culture added extra layers to this story that really made it sing, as well as Tre’s grief over his brothers death. 

This was one of the hardest books I’ve ever read, while also being one of the most beautiful. The writing was top notch and the poetry was a perfect vehicle for this story. I’m going to think about this one for a really long time. 

Maybe I’m dumb, but I didn’t quite get this book. It was hard for me to read, mainly because my grandfather suffered from dementia, so reading a character on that journey was difficult. I found the narration hard to follow at times, and was especially confusing at the end.
