Super cute and science-y and gentle and sweet... Ben loved it! Great for sensitive kiddos as there's not a lot of major conflict.
Eh. It was okay for him, but I was not a fan. Ben says he liked it, but it was not very exciting and we really struggled getting through it, despite it being really quick and simple. We'll keep it to see if he enjoys it as an independent read later.
Ben loved this one- we've read it a few times now. It'll be perfect for him to do independent once he's reading a little more fluently.
The Good: Setting was fun, suffiently spooky, once it got going the story was good. Excellent quality audiobook.
The Bad: So slow to start, main character is annoying af, certain characters are pointless to the outcome (I assume they'll be important later, but this one was too slow already to throw in SO MUCH extra stuff so early), gearing up for an annoying Y.A. love triangle

Pretty good. The epilogue left me scratching my head a little as it felt like a stretch, but I was on board until then. The ending was definitely rushed but I bought the actual plot points as I thought they had been well foreshadowed. Lovely overall-- the prose was very good.
