The plot was so slow, and yet the relationship between characters felt rushed. It exhausted me.

This was good, but it made me find the limits of not being a native speaker - as soon as things deviate from the English I'm used to hearing/reading, I get very confused and tired. I want to revisit this, but need an easier start or a translated version.

Got bored with the unending exposition of police crimes, checked reviews, looks like it's entirely like this with a few basic strategies and not a book about strategies. I'll pass.

Very very dense, for something I'm not that interested in. Got 200 pages in and realized I was still not into it.
