Okay... I really liked it.. BUT the whole Godstars thing didn't feel fully flushed out. Granted - we got glimpses of this part of the storyline throughout book 2 and I can see where the storyline COULD go if Laini decided to write more within this universe. It just felt rushed within the current context.

I liked all the resolutions between Akiva and Karou - I loved Zuzanna and Mik in every instance we got to see them. I KNEW
Ziri and Liraz were gonna get together and I LOVED IT because Ziri deserves the best.

I feel like there are too many things in my brain to accurately write this review. I have no idea other than it was a good ending to an amazing series and I would 10/10 recommend!

I think I've tried to write this review 5 times because it feels like it was so good there's so much to say - but each time I come back to it and the page hasn't saved and I loose all progress... so short and sweet it is.

Bruh - this book was dark. For sure read all the trigger warnings.

The darkness makes sense as both sides of the war are - at this point - committing atrocities of war/war crimes and it's rough to read. Then this bright spot develops of people who are like "what the fuck are we doing" and it's finally good!

Our FMC and MMC are also not speaking - so this book felt slower paced (but I still devoured it in one sitting). Rightly so too - I was happy Karou doesn't forgive Akiva right away or really at all within the contents of this book.

Also thank GOODNESS for Zuze's chapters or I think I would have been crying the whole time.

This was so cute - and more emotional than I thought it would be (which is 100% on me given I'm well aware of the plot of Rapunzel)... but I really enjoyed it!
I loved how they portrayed her and how they went into how everyone changed their minds about her. She basically Ted Lasso'd them. And the bar scene - amazing! A very cute reminder to be kind and remember the wonder of the world 🥰

All that to say... I thought it ended so abruptly.
I get it's YA - but that doesn't mean we can't get a happy epilogue?!
Christmas with her dad?!
- What happened with Fitz and his adoptive dad? We're supposed to go along with one phone call is the pretty little bow??
- No scene at all with her real dad Chris??
- No meeting in jail with her kidnapper mom?!
- Does she apply to a different school?!
- WHERE DO THEY TRAVEL ON THIER TIME OFF?!?

I have questions that will annoy me - therefore I hope people write a fanfiction lol

THE TENSION - JUST KISS ALREADY!

I still feel like I'm watching an episode of criminal minds... and I love it. At this point though - how many more serial killers can come through before folks should and would realistically move?

Yo this is brutal - I feel like I'm watching an episode of Criminal Minds but make it fairytale.

I loved it lol I still have a lot of questions (
mainly about Garrett right before she arrested him... like why was he being weird and aggressive?
) but luckily we have more books so I'm not mad.

Cuuuuute!

Apparently there is a theme with cowboy romances and them not talking to each other - but I loved  Wyatt and Sally. Still too many pet names used far too often, but at least it wasn't every line like Cash lol

Also... "Daddy" is not for me - but at least it was only a couple times.

Damn - this book was cute and sad. I think Elsie did really well portraying the addiction of a loved one and what it's like to lose them - it's not an easy thing to write.

I really liked Rhys and Tabitha's dynamic, even if I just wanted to shake them at times. I love love, and I love cowboys.
lighthearted medium-paced

If I block out that this book was far too repetitive/long and the fact that once Cash started calling her "Honey" it was IN EVERY LINE - I can forget that I wanted to throw up.

The story line was super cute, and I really enjoyed all the side characters and the plot overall.

Cute contemporary cowboy romance. We're here for it.

Second chance romance isn't my favorite, but I really NEEDED a contemporary romance filler. So it scratched the itch.

I don't know why but I didn't love Cam. Dusty though - we're big fans.
