I really enjoyed this book but for some reason took me a minute to get into. 

I thought that the setting was wonderfully established and the characters were so lovingly described. The writing was beautiful, a really great balance of poetic prose and humour. 

Not a book I would have gravitated toward outside of the reading challenge but so glad that I have read it!
