When I say I JUMPED at the chance to read this the moment I realized it was a sapphic rapunzel retelling but with vampires and witches, I mean it. I think there's so much promise with this one that I hate to say it let me down. I think this would and could be top tier for a younger audience who are finding their reading niche. There isn't as much depth in this story and characters as I would have liked to see. The beginning was enjoyable I loved the bit of back story we were given and the similarities we're shown to the original rapunzel. But I do think there could be a lot of improvement with the story as we continue past chapter 10. With that being said though, I love this idea and hope to see it again.

This book enthralled me from the very first poem. Not a lot of ones I've read start with such open festered wounds the way this did. It felt like I was reading things I've only ever thought in the deep depths of my mind -- and heart. I finished and sat there contemplating about who to recommend this to first and MANY people popped into my mind. So safe to say this is a definite must for those like me who need to see what they feel in the written word.

This was something I unfortunately knew very little about going in. At the same time, it's not surprising the torturous treatment these girls were given at the hands of these grotesque individuals. Because throughout history what is always ignored is how to treat people like the humans they are. It's also not surprising how little info about these things is shared and taught. Reading this story about the brave woman who helped save these enslaved girls was truly heartwrenching and had me hooked the entire time. Terrified to come to the end but honored to have learned a story not many know. Including myself at the start. It shows that just one person can make a difference and better the lives of those who have been hurt.

The graphics continue to be stunning just like the first. I think the story felt a little stagnant this time around but I can easily overlook it due to how much joy I feel when I'm reading it. I still can't wait to see where the story goes in the next ones!

This book was mindbogglingly heartbreaking and tragic and a must-read all at once. It's definitely not an easy or light read based on the material. It's such an important subject to touch on and it's somehow not done nearly enough. I think the emotions this stirs up are something so many can relate to. Or at least know someone who will. That's the sad thing about it actually, that so many have felt the things written on these pages.
I consumed it quickly and am glad to add it to the list of things I'll always think about. The terrible fact it conveys is that women are abused and murdered daily and those who do anything against their tormentors always face consequences in some form or another. It might be seen or unseen but it always happens.

The description of this book I've read really does describe it absolutely perfectly. The sweet gothic horror vibes are immediate and it drags you in lovingly as you continue through the book. Not to mention the sapphic storyline in it really sold me. The first of its kind for me and I ate it up. My love for the dark academia mansion aesthetic was fully satisfied.
The writing as well was so intricately written and I found myself noticing how much I enjoyed the words she used to describe not only the characters but our main character's surroundings at the Lovelace house as well. I can't wait to reread it once it's published and see the hype this undoubtedly deserves.

There's something so intense and mind-opening about this collection. I think it tackled a very tragic event in the most profound way that had me intrigued the entire time. It ranges back and forth from quite a few different topics at the same time. The Grenfell Tower fire is a very notable one throughout but still touches on motherhood and the terror felt by so many things. I think this will be a very notable read.

The WAY this book caused so much joy in me is unbelievable. I wish more books like this had been around when I was younger and in school. It's such a beautifully written fall tale that encapsulates the vibe of October SO well.
Paloma was a great character that I can really see younger kids connecting with and relating to. Even if they don't see ghosts with floral auras themselves. I bet they'll want to after finishing this! I can't wait for my daughter to read this when she's older.

This collection was overflowing with sound and feeling at every turn. It almost flows entirely through you as you delve further and further in. You can absolutely tell the skill behind our writer and the lyrical verses he's given us. I think this would be fantastic for people who aren't quite sure if they like poetry.
Something like this would encapsulate their minds and vividly show exactly what they're reading. The colorful pages tell us about mental health, emotional adolescence, the struggles we all often face, and our author's understanding of the hardships endured.

ALRIGHT, I've been thinking of this review since I finished the book the other day. I think something the author did here was create a fantastic and loveable story with characters you can't help but relate to and enjoy the company of. It's not super lore driven but I think compared to other books this would be a breath of fresh air for people who want that punch of fantasy but don't necessarily enjoy feeling lost for half a book.
I don't want to spoil anything but our main character was such a contrast to some of the ones I've been reading recently, I think she's become a new favorite of mine. I also think everyone is most definitely going to enjoy the romance and our love interest for Rae. Gaveriel is going to be everyone's new favorite as well, I can't leave him out. All of the characters we've met so far are written so well you can't help but simply enjoy it.
So with that said, pre-orders are out now and it will be released right on the new year so everyone can kick off 2023 with a new and amazing read.
