This was one of my anticipated reads! I’m so happy I finally got the time to read it. I really enjoyed the general commentary on the industry, first. And not to mention the important talk on homophobia in it as well. This was a sweet and fast paced sapphic read. If you’re looking for rivals tension, I don’t think it’s what you’ll get. BUT I think it still holds a fantastic story and very very relatable characters. Surprisingly, considering one is an Oscar winning actress. Plus the mental health rep was super refreshing. I definitely recommend you trying this out!

I am PLEASANTLY surprise by how much I really started to enjoyed this?! It’s also my first introduction to the author and her writing. First, you have to check this out if you love single parent, romance with a suspenseful subplot, and so much more. I thought the opposites attract was nicely done and that even though this is a romance it kept me guessing and twisted us up in certain parts. The contrast was fantastic and I really enjoyed the authors writing. Plus the characters were so good! They definitely get you to root for them. You should definitely check this one out!!

Overall this was just a fantastic cozy witchy read that really just hits the spot the closer to spooky season we get! Not to mention I really loved the character development we got in just one book and the found family tropes appearance! There’s fantastic representation, breaking curses, and just a beautiful time!! Check this one out soon!

Wow! This was short but absolutely stellar. I didn’t quite know what I was getting myself into but let’s say I enjoyed every strangely twisted second. Do we really know our friends? The people around us? What are they hiding? If you find something like that intriguing you, definitely pick this up! I also enjoyed the details surrounding our characters in such a short time as well.
I’m already anticipating that this duo-logy is going to be one of my new favorites. I absolutely loved the gothic horror and medievalism vibes and I really enjoyed Elspeth Spindle. Just every character’s dark horrific underbelly even the good ones. I also enjoyed the nightmare and how they described the infected. The Destriers and Physicians really gave “plague” vibes. Such a ragtag team of people and I swear the author put more behind the lore and just snippets of information than others I read. It really added to the beautiful painstaking feel this book gave.
This review is all over the place but I’m currently reading the second so I’ll be back lol.

This was a beautifully woven experience that you HAVE to read for yourself to fully grasp the different nuances. The author really has gorgeous writing and the mental health representation was spot on. I definitely recommend you try this book!

This was a beautiful, heart racing read that shows the gravity of the Internet and what can happen to girls. While also showing us that our main character can and will avenge her Father and discover more than anyone else could. I really enjoyed this twisty read that was so incredibly interwoven!

Wow, this one was a beautifully intense woven fantasy that was so unique that I actually just ate it up. I love fantasy, but sometimes it can get a bit repetitive and I think Chloe Gong does a great job of adding new and interesting things to the genre, especially with this one. I loved the political turmoil and betrayal she’s so good at adding in the stories, not to mention every single twist has you gasping for breath. You should definitely check this one out and add it to your tbr!
