The. Magic. System. It is such a fresh take in fantasy where it can definitely get oversaturated to hear the same thing described over and over. I loved it. Keeping in mind that this book was originally written in Korean, it translated over soooooo beautifully. I really loved the characters and the different POVs because the author gave each person such a distinct personality! If you’re looking for some strikingly LUSH world building then you really should look no further! I absolutely recommend this one. It was quick and action packed!

I really enjoyed how eclectically unique each story and artwork was! Congratulations to everyone who made it in the book, they have such creative talent it’s insane. One of my favorites was “The Edge of Where My Light Is Cast” and I also loved “Five Days Until Sunset” they were so beautifully done and the science fiction holds absolutely no bounds. I love collections like this! You should DEFINITELY try this if you’re looking to get more into sci-fi!

The authors unprecedented success with The Spite House definitely opened up the hope of another strong novel. In this we’re shown supernatural horror with violent crime and a rich atmosphere. Our main character Sarita has been through A LOT. I mean she has just been taken through the punches on multiple occasions.
The book partially has us relive the past with flashbacks to explain all of these horrific moments. The first few chapters did not allow me to guess the way the book was actually growing and things took unexpected turns as the world opened up to carnage, occultism, monsters, and more. This book will have you thinking one thing and BLINDSIDE you with so much more. I mean southern gothic vampire vibes? Absolutely yes.

This was a surprisingly twisty yet fun read with the comedic moments to lighten the very heavy mystery! It had me guessing at every turn and wondering just how we could possibly continue on from the first book. In my head this is a Romantic Suspensful Comedy and it is one of my new fav genres I think lol. I also enjoyed the pacing of this one as well!

This was THE cutest and I was immediately drawn in with the little cookie doodles on the pages that set the atmosphere for this being the perfect book for all the cookie-holics out there! Middle grade mystery will always have this nostalgic feel to it, especially when you get to the really heartwarming moments. The authors have a great way with words! I definitely recommend!

An enthralling mystery wrapped up in a book about account finding one’s place. Bunny leaves the comfort of family after feeling like she doesn’t belong, in more ways than one, to the Alaskan ranch life to show them just what she can do. But there’s a mystery in place that only she feels she can solve, that she’s drawn to. This was a beautiful read with such captivating wiring and it had such a great message to share as well. I definitely recommend!

This was a beautiful cozy read full of fun banter yet talks of grief, death, and the little things that come with it. This is friends to lovers and done so well!! It really had me on my toes and I kept waiting for them to just, GET TOGETHER. I thought the setting made the book and it had me settled in so excited to see what came next! Mortician love with a grieving widow who’s moved to Ireland for a quick escape. I definitely recommend!
