My first Holly Jackson book and I can really see why people love her! The writing had me hanging on EVERY word, right along with the main character Bel. She lost her mother 15 years ago without a trace and has been pushing through years of trauma and isolation ever since. When her father agrees to a documentary, things get very very interesting when her mom just POPS up outta nowhere! This book had fantastic twists and turns with such relatable characters that took this beyond a thriller/true crime story. I really enjoyed it and I’m now immediately going to read more by her!

A twistingly dark yet lush book about the haunted horrors that have happened At Marbrisa, the estate built by Anna’s husband Robert Barnes. A sloooow burned mystery on whether these things even happened and how.

It takes place in two time lines! One with its conception and the other some years later with different people. I think this book is great for those who like a mystery that has more to do with the secrets one keeps.

Thank you Berkley!

This actually lived up to the recent hype I had seen around it! Not that I expected something terrible but this was pleasantly surprising. I really liked the main character Yeeran and her sister Lettle. The author did a fantastic job at world building and character development, it had me absolutely sucked in. I loved learning about the elven tribes and all the background lore. I think this really helped you relate to the characters and while they each had flaws, their personalities certainly made up for it! I really enjoyed this one!

Thank you to the author and publisher!

This was a fantastic read! And certainly a more unique take that I really enjoyed. I loved how the author dealt with our main characters trauma, being a serial killers daughter and all. The twists and turns were fun and kept us guessing. The ending wasn’t unpredictable but it was still easily enjoyable and added to the story for me!

Thank you to the author and publisher!

This is probably my new FAVORITE horror book. This work was beyond beautiful, in a horrific, mind-crippling, dysfunctional family trauma, and buried secrets typa way. You have two timelines happening, the present and around the mid-eighties. I thought every twist and turn was beautifully crafted and I did NOT expect the final conclusion and I love it even more because of that. This book might make you uncomfortable at times with the underlying message and harsh topics. But it’s a interwoven masterpiece that below the outward horror is a deep look at families and their trouble. I absolutely recommend!

Thank you to the author and Berkley publishing for my copy!

A fast paced and eery read that you might not want to read when you’re home alone. Harry had taken a job to clean the house of famed horror movie director, Javier Castillo and while absolutely enthralled, she very quickly realized the downward spiral things are taking. Noises in the house and things that weren’t there before. It’s the perfect haunted house with great twists and turns to keep you on your seat.

I’m so happy that this is the book that introduces me to sports romance because I fear I wouldn’t have liked it otherwise. This was the perfect mix of slow burn enemies to friends to lovers and the ultimate quirky fun read. It was also so incredibly funny and I definitely look for that in a book like this. I NEED the comedy. The characters were all their own brand of chaos and quirky. I’d definitely recommend this one!

Thank you to Hambright PR for my ebook!

I’m always ready to read dystopian zombie apocalypse and it’s even better when you add sapphic love into the mix! I think this was super creative and while staying realistic it held some really fun sci-fi background and had me hooked from the start! If you’re looking for something easy and a great start to your dystopia journey, this is most definitely for you!

Thank you Penguin Teen!

This was a heart wrenching beautiful read that while being a world war historical fiction, has this gorgeous warmth and uniqueness. You follow more than one story and they’re connected through love and told from some interesting perspectives! I think if you were to give anything out of your comfort zone a chance, it should be this one! I definitely recommend!
