Set in a futuristic world in 2050 where everyone is obsessed with a virtual reality game called Satisfy. Crazy worlds collide and the inner workings of the game commence as we follow our main character through quite a lot of FUNNY but overall bad luck. Because learning how to play a game is hard enough. I really enjoyed this and honestly wasn't sure if I would! Id love to keep with the series and eventually read more!

Thank you Netgalley!

These are a truly magical set. The spooky yet whimsical vibes come alive immediately and send us into the pages of a cozy yet eery story. I loved the town and it’s name “Wick” I thought the fallish vibes mixed with the looming darkness was beautiful. Plus I loved that magic was all around yet unseen for most. I think the authors writing somehow makes you yearn for the sweet story and the ending to our two characters journey. Absolutely cannot wait to read more!! The second book had a recap which I absolutely loved and it helped tie you right back in. Reconnecting with one’s family always gets me right in the feels too.

This was probably more of a 3.5 for me but rounded up! We read this in hand with Verve for our book club so thank you for the gifted book!

I thought the “mafia” styled romance was fun and exciting, something we’ve all read before but still enjoyable. Evie was honestly a relatable character who really grabs you from the beginning. This book was on the short side and definitely hit all the tropes spot on. It didn’t give me a wow factor but I did finish the book and would probably read the next one! I would have liked a little more turmoil in the beginning when she sees the crime and the decision is made about the arranged-fake marriage but maybe I just like enemies to lovers a little TOO much lol.

This was such a unique yet refreshing story following our main character when she finds her grandmas journal and discovers that things written in it, can come true! It was beautiful the way our author describes her thoughts and surroundings. It makes you feel like you’re right along for the journey. The very delicate balance between teenage life and this fantastically different world. I really enjoyed this emotional read and you should definitely give it a try!

Thank you to the author and candlewick press for my copy!

I went into this story with no clue how I’d feel about it. I had the pleasure of reading the book AND listening to the full cast audiobook! I think where some science fiction can lack in world building and detail, this one eats us up with a full scoped world and everything you’d hope to know. Not to mention such a “lasso” wielding Wild West feeling technical world at that. It’s enjoyable, fun, adventurous, and full of a great time. If you’re a fan of sci fi this is definitely something you have to read at LEAST once.

Thank you @galaxy_press for my gifted copies! This was a great ride.
