Tbh I don’t know what I just read or if o liked it, disliked it, loved it etc. it’s not my typical book and I think I was trying too hard to figure things out and also get past the unique writing style. Sometimes (often times) I felt too dumb for this book. I recommend doing this as a buddy read bc you need to talk out your thoughts with people.

This is an amazing and fun romance. I love that it all took place in stem and the representation was fantastic especially with all the female power but also showing how sexist STEM is. I really loved all of the characters and of course I love a fake dating trope. I took off .25 stars because I wanted it to get to the steam a bit faster. However it was so fantastic and had me laughing and had me rooting for olive and Adam and also Ahn and Malcolm. I love the representation of friendship in this. And I also liked that it showed sex anxiety and That not everyone is this sex goddess who has all of these moves so flawlessly. That you can feel uncertain about what you do and that that is still hot . This is definitely a romance plus!

Fav characters: all of them. I love all of the characters. But if I have to pick I would say Adam is my favorite

This book made me cry, gasp, laugh, feel warm , and think. This book is sooo good and really made me think about life. I loved the premise of this, a life lived out of order and it was done sooo well.

Hostage is a character driven thriller about being backed into the toughest of choices, choosing between life of your loved one or the lives of many strangers. Hostage is a fantastically done  locked room thriller, a good mix of plot (plane hijacking and kidnapping) and character development. There were twists I didn’t predict and some I did. This was a well done smart/literary thriller.

Amazing! This book will make you cry happ and sad tears and also hug at the end. It’s so beautiful to see acceptance and understanding through the eyes of a child because it reminds us that hate is taught and not necessary.

At the time of this manga , same sex marriage was not allowed in Hapan and there is a lot of discrimination. Mike is the husband to (main characters) twin brother. M(main character ) hasn’t seen his brother in a long time and now he is dead. Mike has come to visit and we see a beautiful friendship evolve and the pure understanding from Kanas (daughter) eyes and helped (main character) grow to be more caccelting. There is a lot of grief and discrimination in this but there is also a lot of humor, heartwarming moments, and love.

On my reread I knocked it down a bit just because there was part of the story and the artwork that felt unnecessarily sexual. I know that is Gengorah style but I actually feel like it took away from some of the story.

However I still LOVE this book and I will be finally reading volume 2. All the characters are great.
