Yet another case of me hating the voices of the main characters. I don't have a name to describe this type of voice, or the words to explain what it is in the first place, but any time I read stuff written like this it bothers me so much to the point I can't enjoy the story. So DNF. I was really excited to read this, too :/
Finally reading this after buying it several months back 😅
I liked the art style but it is a LOT different from Act I and Act II Part 1. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I do wonder why they decided to change it. I honestly do like both styles so I'm not complaining. I wish it were a little longer though, because it only totals to about 25 pages. I would've liked to have more pages here because the story is quite rushed.
I feel like it wasn't quite as good as the previous 2 acts, since this one focused more on the objective events, whereas Act I focused a lot on characters and emotions.
I still really loved this and can say that my fangirling has successfully been triggered, and that's always a positive thing 😚

WOOOOW WOW WOW. That scene with The Oracles was done SO well. I'm falling hard for this art style.
Please, Casey, give us more! 😭♥️

I'll be honest, I wasn't a massive fan of the art style the first time I skimmed through it, but it's a very unique style that's grown on me since then. I wish this artist illustrated Act II.
Pretty much the only problem I had with it was how short it was. But even so, they managed to fit in a lot of character and story in this little thing, so overall it's a solid graphic novel. In particular, I loved how they portrayed Hunter's naivete. There were stark visual differences between the reality of what was happening and his perception of what was happening, and I just think it was done incredibly well.
I would sell my soul to Casey himself for him to keep making these. I want to see more! MORE!!!!

Struggled for the first half to get into it. I considered DNFing it at one point, since I just couldn't get excited about reading it, but there was a point where something just clicked and I couldn't bring myself to put it down.
I wish I had more experience reading fantasy to see how this breaks the typical molds and cliches of the genre (since I heard that this series does a really good job of that), but unfortunately I'm still a fairly new fantasy reader.
I definitely plant to read the next book in the series after a little break. I need some time to finish some shorter books because this beast took me nearly 4 months to finish lol

so fricking cute! I liked it slightly less than the first volume, but I still had a good bit of fun with this one. I'm not sure if this is true but it felt a lot shorter than the first volume. it felt a lot more rushed and like the plot progressed a little faster than I was happy with. I do tend to feel that way about a lot of graphic novels, but it was especially true for Unfamiliar Vol. 2. still though, it was a fun and light read, the art style was obviously top-notch, and the character development of Sun was just *chef's kiss* *mwah*! I adore how easy these are to get through.

Not my cup of tea. I'm not really a romance reader, but one of my friends is and she really wanted me to give it a try. It's been on my shelf for a while and I haven't been all that eager to pick it up again, so I'm DNFing it.
The nicknames the sisters had for each other were TERRIBLE! Pipes?? Really?!? The dialogue had some pretty cringey moments too. One of them was something along the lines of "my fingers were itching to tap some apps" when the main character was in jail. This girl is 33 but acts like a 19 year old. She's not all bad, but I forgot how old she actually was since she's constantly behaving in a way that strikes me as immature. Maybe that was the point, given her upbringing, but I didn't finish it so I don't know lol 🤷♀️
