so apparently I'm just not all that interested in the physiology of exercise lol. I found myself skimming over all the scientific explanations of the benefits of exercise, but that's a good 75% of the book.
I liked the concept, the setting, and characters, but I was insanely bored while reading this. Despite all the good it had going for it, I just wasn't clicking with it.
Being Ace: An Anthology of Queer, Trans, Femme, and Disabled Stories of Asexual Love and Connection
DID NOT FINISH: 58%
Most of the stories were not landing for me. There were two or three I enjoyed, but the rest I had to force myself to get through.
Anthologies and short stories collections are hard ones for me because not having a continuous story kills me. I need time to get comfortable with the setting and characters presented and that's not really possible with short stories. I think that probably has more to do with my disinterest in this book than the actual stories.

Moderate: Acephobia/Arophobia
no doubt a great manga but I'm just not in the mood right now.
I really thought I'd end up liking the series once it became more familiar, but I'm just not into it. It's got a lot of good going for it but it just doesn't really appeal to me. Now how am I gonna break this news to my brothe? lol
Yet another case of me hating the voices of the main characters. I don't have a name to describe this type of voice, or the words to explain what it is in the first place, but any time I read stuff written like this it bothers me so much to the point I can't enjoy the story. So DNF. I was really excited to read this, too :/
Not my cup of tea. I'm not really a romance reader, but one of my friends is and she really wanted me to give it a try. It's been on my shelf for a while and I haven't been all that eager to pick it up again, so I'm DNFing it.
The nicknames the sisters had for each other were TERRIBLE! Pipes?? Really?!? The dialogue had some pretty cringey moments too. One of them was something along the lines of "my fingers were itching to tap some apps" when the main character was in jail. This girl is 33 but acts like a 19 year old. She's not all bad, but I forgot how old she actually was since she's constantly behaving in a way that strikes me as immature. Maybe that was the point, given her upbringing, but I didn't finish it so I don't know lol 🤷♀️

I can't get excited about this. I've heard great things, and it really does sound like my cup of tea, but I did start reading it and couldn't get into it. I'll likely try to read this another time when I'm more in the mood.
