Bridget is her own worst enemy. She overfixates on superficial details, isn’t terribly observant of her surroundings and ends up shooting herself in the foot. Her mother is a nuisance all around and I cannot even begin to fathom the state of the economy to support her lifestyle. Thirty years ago was certainly a different time.

I enjoyed her friends and Mr Darcy and overall it was a quick, enjoyable read.

Absolutely loved this concept, yearning Draco is my favourite. the spice was on point. Didn't love the miscommunication and the little tantrums they each threw when they couldn't get through to each other.

It was a perfect festive Groundhog Day novel, the 10 days of Christmas. I love the big chaotic Baker family, from the wonderfully outrageous nan, to Gwen’s two ditsy parents, to her lovable cousin and stiff upper lip older sister. Gwen learns a lot of lessons over the course of the novel and learns to love herself.

A well written but hard to read book. Emotionally dense but the writing was fantastic, very narrative, train of thought , but heavy to swallow.
