Bridget is her own worst enemy. She overfixates on superficial details, isn’t terribly observant of her surroundings and ends up shooting herself in the foot. Her mother is a nuisance all around and I cannot even begin to fathom the state of the economy to support her lifestyle. Thirty years ago was certainly a different time.
I enjoyed her friends and Mr Darcy and overall it was a quick, enjoyable read.
