Beautiful. Just beautifully written story for the ending of the series. This is the second time I've read it and it left me in tears, finally understanding the ending and epilogue were bittersweet and just perfectly written.
In all honesty, I just finished this book less than a minute ago. I don't even know what to write...I'm just....rendered speechless, trying to figure out what it all means. I think I'll start slowly...
From the very beginning, I read the first five chapters very slowly, trying to understand this world that is not so different from the one we live now. (I always find myself doing this in post apocalyptic novels.) Except, that the world that the protagonist Pressia Belze lives in has been through a series of bombs that were engaged to purposefully create a sub-human species. It reminded me of the Hiroshima bombings and the author makes it clear (in her author's note) that a tragic event of that magnitude should NOT be forgotten. In the story itself, one specific character (Bradwell) argues that their history should not be forgotten and left to the past. Anyways....kinda rambling now. But, getting back to the story - I honestly found myself falling in love with the characters more and more as the story progressed. It's set in a post-apocolyptic world and believe me - I have read MANY books on this very concept, but Pure is brilliantly and beautifully written. The reader can relate to the story, sympathize for the characters that have been fused to metal, children, animals ect. because of the detonations. There are so many deep comparisons in this book that it just...blows my mind. Like I can't even fully wrap my head around it.
Julianna Baggott just wrote a beautifully tragic new world that is deeper than just reading on the surface. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is an avid reader of any kind because there's a little bit of everything in Pure.
It's just amazing. I loved it to pieces and now I have to wait a whole year for the sequel to be released. But it's definitely worth it with the thrilling ending that definitely will leave you wanting more.

I wanted to read the last book in the series because I've read all the previous books, even though I got tired of the story line. The beginning was really too mushy (?) if I can even say that. Then it began to get interesting, even if it was predictable. I did like what Alyson Noel did with her explaining and conveying the idea of Buddhism or Hinduism (whichever religion has the concept of reincarnation and nirvana). In the end, Ever realizes what it means to be truly immortal, which sets her to make the decisions she makes in the the last few chapters of the books. Now, on Damen. I honestly was annoyed with him throughout the last couple of chapters because I thought that he was selfish and in the end he only made the decision (that has to be made) for Ever and not for himself. Which I thought was stupid. He should have made the choice soley for himself because it was the right thing to do and not for someone else. But whatever...I guess it's because "he loves her." Which, I do see. Their love is eternal and has lasted that long because their souls are entwined and are meant to be together.
All in all, the book was a good read. Not my favorite, though. But overall good. I'm happy that the series is finally over!

The third installment in the series was absolutely breathtaking! It had me wanting more as I leafed through the pages. I honestly couldn't get enough. I found myself caught between a whirlwind of emotions and that is EXACTLY what I look for in books. Becca Fitzpatrick did not disappoint one bit.
At the beginning we find Nora has forgotten everything in the last four months and that she's been missing for about two. As she fights to regain her memory she is bombarded with the startling truth of what has happened while she was missing. One thing is certain, her memory of Patch is strong - though she can't remember who he is - she has the distinct feeling that she's met him before. She slowly gets her memory back with flashes of an event happening and with the help of her best friend, Vee - a bit of her help anyway - Scott (yes...he comes back!), and you guessed it...Patch! :D
The ending had me wanting more...wondering what in the world Nora is going to do with the decision that is laid out in front of her. I honestly don't even know when the next book comes out but I hope that it's soon! I NEED MORE! It's that good! A definite MUST READ.
Also, I had the copy with the excerpt of Patch meeting Nora for the first time and I'll tell you....IT WAS AMAZING! :) It truly made me wonder if Nora has any recollection of that moment and if so...even the distinct impression of it - then I need to go and re-read Hush, Hush so I can find out! :)
This has to be on of my favorite series and if you haven't read this book and are weary about it, I promise that it won't be a disappointment :)

Amazing. Mysterious. Breathless. Captivating.
Beth Revis DOES NOT disappoint with the sequel to Across The Universe.
This has easily become one of my favorite stories because it's different than what I generally read. And if you like different than this series is definitely for you. If you haven't read the second book in Revis trilogy than go pick it up and start it!
The book opens with Amy trying to adjust to her life on the ship. Amy has made it clear that she detest the confines of walls surrounding her; all she wants is to get out. She misses her parents, misses the sky, she misses everything that she remembers of her life on earth. As the book progresses, Amy receives a series of clues from Orion and she's desperately trying to figure out the contents of the secret he hid - a secret that all the Eldest's have kept for generations. But as Amy gets closer to the truth, someone is also corrupting the data - not wanting her to know the extent of the secret.
At the same time that Amy is searching for answers to a secret, Elder is struggling to maintain power over the people of Godspeed. They begin to revolt and Elder tries everything that he can to keep his people at bay, but they see the weakness in his leadership: Amy.
The book is wonderfully developed, the clues and the mystery of it will have you reading away the pages until you come to the very end and find out who has been corrupting the clues and also, murdering people who have shown dissent in Elder's leadership. I honestly didn't see it coming until the end (like two pages before, cause I ran out of people who it could be at that point). It will leave you shocked, but it will all make sense.
The ending just left me wanting more. And I honestly cannot wait for the final installment in the series! But I have to wait till January! :/ The days till Shades of Earth is published couldn't come fast enough! :D
Like my review? Then go read A Million Suns! :D It's absolutely amazing! :)

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! :)
There was never a dull moment in the third installment of Rachel Hawkin's Hex Hall series. I honestly love the protagonist, Sophie Mercer. She is a normal girl, well, not normal per se since she is a demon and all. But she's normal in the way that any other girl could definitely relate to Sophie's internal and external battles. There is of course Archer and Cal who I love both, but I have to say that I'm an Archer fan. His sarcastic and care free nature is what I love about him even though Cal is sweet, loyal, and admiral.
This isn't a real, REAL review. My thoughts are all jumbled together as I write this because it was just breathtaking. Every page just seemed to turn itself as the story progressed and the secrets we suspected of Sophie's family became known. It was predictable because of the subtle hints the author gave throughout the previous book (Demonglass) and Spell Bound, but it definitely did not take away from the action and captivating story.
This is definitely one of my favorite series and if you haven't read this book you NEED to! :) Go pick it up right now! You definitely won't be disappointed! From the way that the book ended I feel like there will be a fourth book but if not then the ending was very bittersweet in the way that the reader could imagine how things could go for our beloved characters.

Breathtaking. Enticing. Beautiful.
The Selection is a definite MUST READ new series in the YA Lit world. I literally just finished two minutes ago and I just had to write a quick review about how utterly amazing this book was! I loved the way that it was like The Hunger Games meets The Bachelor. Ms. Cass used that exact phrase when she was pitching her novel to the CW (where they are considering of making a show out of this series).
Anyways, back to the novel. I honestly loved the protagonist, America Singer. She's strong-willed, kind, witty, humorous, and down to earth. She is one of thirty-five girls who were chosen in the Selection - a nation wide competition where one girl will be chosen by Prince Maxon himself to be his wife. Throughout the entire story she stayed true to herself, even though some of her decisions (one in particular) made me so frustrated that I literally wanted to toss the book across the room in a fit of rage. But then I thought twice about it and didn't want to ruin my book. I'd have been angry at myself the next day if the pages were bended....
Okay, getting carried away again! My mind is just everywhere. The setting of the story takes place in the distant future of Illea - a country formerly known as the United States. They mention states here and there but with different names like Carolina and Angeles (just to name a few). I honestly thought that the novel was unique and beautifully written. Sure, it had similar themes like The Hunger Games, but it was much lighter, though the backdrop of the story consists of a war.
There are so many more wonderful things that I could say but it's 1:04 in the morning and I need to go to bed. I might wake up in the morning and see that this doesn't make any sense and if doesn't, I apologize in advance!
But in all honestly, I would recommend this book to anyone. I completely fell in love with one of the lead male characters, which was Prince Maxon himself. And I can't forget to mention again that I loved America Singer - a girl that the reader could identify with as she her thoughts and feelings practically mirrored thoughts that I (and I bet all of us) have had in the past, present, and will have in the future.
So....what are you waiting for? Quit reading this and go read the book! :)

Brilliant. Intriguing. Captivating.
Stolen is about a sixteen year old girl named Gemma, who gets taken at a Bangkok Airport by a man named Ty. The stranger is oddly familiar - there is something about him that Gemma recognizes but she doesn't know what. It isn't until she's alone with him in the middle of a reclusive desert in Australia that Gemma discovers how Ty knows her.
This is the second time I've read this book in a little over a year and I absolutely LOVED it the second time around. There was never a dull moment, even though I've read it before. Gemma's strong will to escape made the novel intriguing as we read her thoughts and dreams that instilled fear in her mind. Then there was Ty (the captor) and any reader (in my opinion) would sympathize with him because he NEVER once harmed Gemma. EVER. Yes, he kidnapped her - but he never once hurt her in any way except for when he drugged her in the beginning because he was kidnapping her. All Ty wanted from Gemma was love and towards the end of the book we see that that may be possible. But in light of circumstances - we never get to see how that relationship could progress.
Anyways, the romantic in me wanted Gemma to fall in love with Ty in the desert, away from technology and the noise of the city. But the logical side of me was saying "No, he kidnapped her...he should go to jail," which is understandable. I mean, who condones kidnapping? I definitely don't. But this story is more than just the issue of kidnapping. It's also about Stockholm Syndrome, which is a mindset where the captive begins to sympathize for their captor. Towards the end we see how Gemma has inner turmoil when it concerns Ty. She doesn't know what to think of him. She loves him. She hates him. But she knows that he wasn't a bad person (which I agree) but what he did was wrong. There are just so many mixed feelings that any reader who picks up this book will have just the same amount of inner turmoil as Gemma had. I believe that it also shows that not every situation is black and white but there are many shades of gray.
Okay. So. What you need to do is stop reading my ramblings and go get this book because words cannot convey how brilliantly written the story is.

In all honesty, I absolutely ADORED this book :) It is action packed (kinda reminding me of Supernatural), witty, and has a dash of romance in it.
It's not often that I read a book, especially a YA novel, where the protagonist your regular teenage boy. Wait, wait. I shouldn't say "regular" because Theseus Cassio is anything BUT regular. He is a ghost hunter. The job has been in his family for years. His father was a hunter until he was killed by one of the very things he sought to kill.
The beginning of the novel is sure to reel you in and hold you, never letting you go until the very last word in the story. Cas is on duty, hunting a ghost that has been terrorizing a highway. After he finishes, his mother (who is a white witch) and him pack up and go to Canada, where he got a lead from a friend of a ghost who kills anyone who steps into her house. The people in the city call her Anna Dressed In Blood, because when she was murdered the white dress she wore was drenched in her own blood. Cas is ready to take on this new job and knows that after she kills Anna - he will be reading to find the thing that killed his father.
But not everything goes according to plan. There is a mystery to Anna's murder and to the one of his father's. Everything that Cas has known and believed is about to change when he begins to discover the gruesome and shocking truths that have led him to Thunder Bay.
I can't wait to read the sequel! I hear there is one and I shall go and search if it's true! Cause I must know what happens next! :D So....go read this fantastic book if you have been thinking about it! It an all around AMAZING story and sure to NOT disappoint :)
