I really wanted to like this, especially since I bought it in Athens and the employee at the bookstore sold it so well to me. Unfortunately, the writing is incredibly bland and due to its length reading this feels like a chore. With great sadness I say no more.
Going to pick this up an start from the beginning after finishing Mrs Dalloway since they feel similar but this one just being a bit harder to read

Why should a dog, a horse, a rat have life,
And thou no breath at all? Thou’lt come no more,
Never, never, never, never, never!
Enjoyed what I did read but it started to feel like a chore. I’ll definitely pick it up again though.
Loved what I read but it’s not the mood right now
When I’m enjoying books I need to read for uni more than the book I’m reading for pleasure than maybe I should just put the book down.
Detective short stories just aren’t for me, I’m not gonna force myself to read this cause I doubt it’s worth it
The language was just too childish for my taste
I loved what I read and I didn’t think I’d get intimidated by the size, for how busy my life is at the moment it’s just a bit too much commitment for me.
I was enjoying this but I’m a little lost in what’s happening and reading it is starting to feel like a chore. Will revisit at some other point in time.
