This was just utterly perfection.

I have no words. No words. Reading the last five pages in public was a big mistake because it takes all my self-control not bawl out my eyes. I didn't think I would love it so much. I knew I would love it. But this. This is a whole new level of love for a book series. Without saying much or giving away too much, I just want to say that I needed this. Needed this ending. And had now idea how much I did.
Even though it took me months to finish , there was a time where I didn't feel like picking it up, here I am. In tears.
Thank you, Sarah J Maas
For this book series has made a different dreamer.

It‘s always hard to rate and review a final book of a series. Questions keep circulating in my mind: Was it a good conclusion? How was this installement compared to the other books? Are any questions still unanswered? If so, is it good this way, or not? Is the ending one I wanted for the characters? Or is it one that was needed? Answering such questions for one of your favorite series is harder. One can‘t be rational about this, and this book definitely left me in a very emotional state.

But I‘m happy with it. It promised much and kept most of it. Expectations were high for this final installement, and I think Sarah J. Maas did the best for it. I see why people might have any problems with it, but I do feel it is an ending the characters and us, readers, deserved.

In this book, we got to experience war from so many perspectives. POVs were switching, like some light bulb that can‘t stay on. We got to see the outcome of seven books through the eyes of every beloved character. We got the chance to feel with them, to cry and laugh with them, to fight with them - for what was promised: a better world.

Ironically, this series has done just that. Gave us a better world, from the very beginning. And I am thankful for it (and still very very emotional about it!)

Even if I had my problems, I consider them minor since my expectations and day dreams led to a different outcome than we got. However, this is the ending we did get. And I‘m happy with it.

Review from 2014
5 stars because it wasn't easy at all to put the book down. I love how it started, how it made me confused, not so sure about how it ended. Reminded me to much of some "superhero" thing ... X-men or things like that ...
But the writing is captivating and purely amazing. It's so different - the writing style! And I truly loved it.
Adam is soooo good! Probably it sounds a bit stalker-ish to you, the way he told her that he loves her, but I liked their love, their passion, their relationship and how they connected over their past.
Of course, the story hasn't reached its end with a happy ending where Adam and Juliette live happily ever after. Of course there's an evil Man called Warner who wants her and "suprisingly" she feels something else than only hate.
Not very tempting because love triangle is what you'll find in almost every book but I must admit, I'm really interested in this one. Because Warner is the bad guy and Adam the good - actually. But who knows what will happen next? We know (SPOILER) that both guys can feel, touch her .. Which only can mean that there will be hooooot and more or less unexpected scenes and I surely will be loving them.

PS: to answer the most important question: I'm Team Adam

The Feels are killing me.
Oh god.
This book.

The beginning was quite slow and it took me some days to get into it, but as soon as I got in I couldn't put the book down.
It was soooo good!
Can somebody please get me Ignite Me ? Like NOW?!?!?!!!! (Well, first I need to read Fracture Me)

Oh ...
