I absolutely loved every single second of this. One of my new favorite books. — RTC
This was genuinely one of the best romance books I've ever read. The writing, the characters, the romance; the pining, the interactions, the feelings. This is one of my new favorite books of all time, and I adored this so dearly. I cannot wait to read the companions to this book.
I’m not going to log 30+ episodes, so I’m just going to count this as one whole comic. Anyways, this is my introduction to DC comics, and the Batfamily, I love this so much. It’s so wholesome, and sweet, and really helps me distinguish and flesh out these characters so that I can dive into their individual, canonical and longer runs. I’ve always been told DC is better than Marvel in terms of comics, and this has already proved those people right.
I have a gut feeling this was originally a Larry Stylinson 1D fanfic and u can’t change my mind.
My Nat is finally back. After reading Black Widow 2014, I was hesitant to read any more modern Black Widow stuff. But I shouldn’t have been, because Mark Waid is the writer for Black Widow 2016, and I’ve heavily enjoyed what I’ve read from him so far. This was a really good starting point to this series, and more of Natalia confronting her past. The bigger look into the red room, and the Headmistress was so so good. And the exploration of Anya the Recluse was also fantastic. I’m giving this 4 stars though, because the first three issues were slow. But I still really enjoyed this, and I heard Bucky appears in the next volume, which I’m very excited for.
AHH!! This was so so good. I loved this conclusion so much. Natasha is such a badass in here, and I really loved Anya. She’s easily my favorite Black Widow villain. And the reunion of Buckynat was MY FAVORITE THING EVER!! I’m a Winterwidow stan till I die and I was so happy we got more winterwidow content. This was amazing!! I loved this series so much.
This was really good! I really enjoyed the Ms. Marvel show that came out this year, and after watching it, I was really excited to read about comic Kamala. I really enjoyed this, the only issue I had with it was that it read a little on the younger side (which is not a problem with the comic, it's more a problem with my taste lol). Also, I'm already a proud Bruno anti (:
*4.5
I really enjoyed this volume of Ms. Marvel as well! Even more so than the first volume, actually. The first few issues with Wolverine were super fun. I love reading about Wolverine's dynamic with any teenage superhero because he's so paternal (without even meaning to be) and it makes me so happy. The plot was also a bit better imo (and it was completely different from the Ms. Marvel show so maybe that's why). Honestly, I can't wait to read volume 3, I love Kamala so much.

”’Do you know how you live three hundred years?” she says. And when he asks how, she smiles. “The same way you live one. A second at a time.’”
Hauntingly beautiful is what I would call this story. Or a masterpiece. Both work. I adored this book, and I genuinely think it’s one of my most favorite books of all time. The writing is absolutely gorgeous, and the last half of the book was so good. There were so many twists I wasn’t expecting, and I actually loved the love triangle in here. I just genuinely cannot talk enough about how much I love Addie and this story. I wish I had read this sooner, and I now completely understand the hype surrounding Addie LaRue.

’”You just want me there because I’m a pretty, young, blonde thing?”
“Absolutely,” I say with a smile. “But also because I can’t think of a single thing that would make that night more enjoyable than to spend the night with the literal personification of sunshine and happiness.”’
This is basically what happens when you mesh together Legally Blonde and Clueless. The end result gives you a main character that resembles Elle Woods and her iconic love for pink and Cher Horowitz and her at-first-glance air headed nature. You could definitely see the nods to Legally Blonde—most prominently with our Elle Woods variant Abbie (hey we share the same name!) going from having a shitty boyfriend breaking up with her to getting revenge on him. Abbie loved pink, is passionate about her job, cares deeply about the people she loves, and has a low self-worth (all very similar traits to Elle and Cher).
Despite this book having very similar plot points and ideas to Legally Blonde and Clueless, I really enjoyed this story, like a lot more than I thought I would. I didn’t even know if I’d actually read any Christmas books this month, but I’ve been hearing so many amazing things about this story that I couldn’t not pick it up. And I’m so happy I did.
I loved Abbie’s personal character growth, and the way she worked on her self-worth and confidence throughout the story. At the beginning of the book, she’s still very much caught up in the manipulations and past abuse of her ex boyfriend. I loved the journey of her learning to love herself, and who she was as a person.
Her relationship with Damien was also so incredible to read. He was so sweet, and caring and he literally worshipped the ground she walked on. They were also such a good match for each other, and Damian was always getting Abbie to see her self-worth and the best parts about herself, and he wouldn’t let her change herself one bit for him. I also loved how they both mutually agreed that they didn’t want children and that was that. No surprise baby bullshit, they just didn’t want kids and that was the end of it. It was refreshing to read about a book couple who’s HEA doesn’t include babies.
Also 10/10 smut, so many good steamy scenes with A+ dirty talk. My praise kink was going wild ngl. I think the age-gap aspect makes it even better. Usually age-gap romances aren’t something I read, but this worked so well for the story being told, and the characters themselves.
I’m excited to read the rest of the books connected to this one because I just loved this book so much and all the supporting characters. I really loved this so much, and I’m super happy I did. I can’t wait to read more Christmas books this month, this was a great start for December. Highly recommend.
