Thank you to the publisher and @netgalley for a copy of this romance. It's perfect to read this time of the year if you don't like spooky reads but want something with a ghost. Jillian moves into an apartment and meets a handsome man, Daniel, who is a ghost. The story focuses on their friendship and how Daniel helps Jillian with life. I liked how at the end they explained Daniel as a ghost as well.

Thank you @readforeverpub for a copy of this witchy romance. This magical beach town with all the magical creatures resides Ursula who recently experienced a disastrous event and is done with love. She meets Xavier on a random encounter and learns he is a prince looking for family magical kiss to break a spell. I love seeing their friendship develops as Ursula becomes his wing woman. This is a slow burn story with great tension built up. The side characters added a lot of depth to the story too
This one was just not for me. I could not get into the plot and the characters felt one dimensional.
I DNF'd at 25%

Thank you @smoromance @macmillan.audio for a copy of this sapphic romance. I enjoyed the dynamics of this story especially with the women's World Cup earlier this year. I love that Phoebe is the newbie on the team and Grace is her idol that she grew up with. I enjoyed the neurodivergent representation as well. The sex scene are steamy. I did get lost in parts of the audiobook when there was a lot of inner dialogue and forgot whose POV it was coming from.

Thank you @getredprbooks @berklerypub @prhaudio for a copy of this book. I don't read too many cozy mysteries and this series is so fun. I love seeing Lila and her calendar aunts back. This time they are not suspects but are target of crime against their soon to open laundromat and the murder of the aunt's goddaughter. They cast of characters are all so great and I love all the Filipino pastries and wanted to try them all. The narrator did an excellent job bringing all the characters to life with her accent.

Thank you to the author for a copy of this book. This story is inspired by Little Women, told in the mother, Celine's POV. I have never read LW, so I can't composure the similarities. This was a beautiful story of the a parallel universe of the alternate life taken. It's a story about dealing with grief and family ties. The story is engaging and I love all the Filipino food and references woven into the story.

Thank you @thedialpress @netgalley for a copy of this book. This story spans several years as Ari and Josh keeps meeting randomly and their interactions. This is a story with adults that don't quite have their life together and become friends to support each other. The banter between Ari and Josh is great and I love seeing their relationship transform.

Thank you @smpromance @netgalley for a copy of this debut romance. This was a great enemies to lovers book that explores the prejudices for biracial people. I liked that diversity in the book and shared a lot of Jewish culture and people's assumption of people based on skin color. The friend group was great and I enjoyed Liyah and Daniel together. I didn't understand how Liyah kept a grudge on Daniel for something that happened as teenagers and even after he explained the situation. Overall, a great romance.

Thank you to the author for a copy of this book. This book is the start of the series and I can't wait for the next one. It's told in Tristan's POV, who is working for his new Uncle in Law, Mark as a body guard. Tristan is feeling lost after leaving the army and Mark takes him under wing. I was expecting more about the journey of Tristan escorting Isodel back to America but this is more about Tristan and his relationship with Mark.
The story is steamy and I am here for it. I love how Simone weaves Catholic references and power into the story.
The story gave me some New Camelot vibe and there's a short sentence about Maxem and Emory which I am not sure is a spoiler since I haven't finished the series.

Thank you to the author for a copy of the book. This novella really sets the stage for the series. I am so curious about Mark after reading this. This book really sets the stage for Salt Kiss and give us a good background on Isodel and Mark. I love the religious aspect of it as well.
