Thank you @prhaudio @berkleyromance for a copy of this book. I thought it was an interesting premise to center this book on the chess competition. The MC, Mallory, struggles to work and help pay the bills while talking care of her sisters and sick mom. She learns about a chess internship and quickly goes deep into this world. She meets the world's top player, Nolan. They form an unlikely friendship turned relationship. There's parts of the story that I didn't really get, like her keeping her chess playing a secret. I would also say this was more NA then YA.

Thank you @bookmarked for a copy of this book. This story is set in the 40s in Hollywood and the narrator, Annie, a play writer, moved to LA after a breakup and the closure of her play. Annie becomes friends with an electric group of people and one of them, Fiona, is murdered. The story centers on this group of friends trying to figure out who killed Fiona. The writing is filled with the fun dialogue and wit and the setting of the other side of Hollywood makes this a fun read.

Thank you @berkleyromqnce @prhaduio for a copy of this fun rom com. If you are looking for a book that has the best banter and slow burn, look no further. Cassidy decides to write an article about dating using dating tips from the 50s. She tests them out on Jack who she learns owns another magazine that is their main rival. These dates they go on are great and the slow burn and tension is just so good. Cassidy's family brings another fun dynamic to the story. Brittany Presley is one of my favorite narrators and does a fantastic job with creating the tension between the characters.

Thank you @putnambooks @prhaudio for a copy of this book. If you love 13 Going on 30, this book is for you. Lucy is at cross roads with her life at 26 with a stalled career and wished to skip to the good part of her life. She wakes up to being 42, married to Sam with 2 children. She just navigate through her new life and figure things out. There'a so many funny moments from learning new technology to getting to know her family. Sam is such a sweet heart and understanding with the situation and I love how Lucy falls for her husband again. Her son Felix was so precious and added so much heart to the story. The narrator did such a great job bringing all the characters to life.

Thank you @readforeverpub for a copy of this book. This book picks up right where the first one ends and I highly recommend you read that to get the backstory. I am so glad this book is about healing and recovering from all the emotions form the first book. Walsh and Kerris' growth journey was needed and it made them stronger as a couple. The story really sets up Cam still had a long way to go but is slowly on his path of redemption and I look forward to his and Jo's story.

Thank you @readforeverpub for a copy of this book. I love Ryan's books and haven't read one of her first published books. I am not a big fan of love triangles or miscommunication so I probably wasn't the right audience this book. This book is angsty and the characters all make some poor decision which we all do in real life. At times, I was tired of the wavering but at the same time, it kept me interested to know what happens. The story doesn't leave you in a cliffhanger but it leaves you wanting to know what happens to them.

Thank you @stmartinspress @macmillan.audio for a copy of this historical fiction. This was a story that starts with Clara's quest in learning the identity of her father. The majority of the story is told in the past time line and really focuses on the relationship between Bettina and Max who are artists that were separated as a result of the war. Their love story is beautiful and heartbreaking. The narrator did a good job bringing all the emotions to life.

So I wasn't a big fan of the Twisted Series but decided to give this series a try and I am so glad I did! I love Dante and Vivian and their marriage of convenience. Being Chinese, I can see how Vivian always tried to please her parents as that is instilled on us from a young age despite her being a strong independent woman. I love the banter between Dante and Vivian and how Dante was such a romantic at heart. Both of their growth journey was great. I really enjoyed the duet narration.

Thank you @greyspromo for a copy of this fun novella. This is a perfect quick read to get you in the holiday spirits. There's so much fun tropes in this story: grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lovers, forced proximity and brother's best friend. The story had lots of funny moments and Iris' dog was so adorable too. I recommend reading this to kick start the holiday season.

Thank you @avonbooks for a copy of this. I enjoyed this and really enjoy Melody as a character. Insta love/connection is always a tough one for me. I get that Mel and Beat share similar with being constantly hounded by paparazzi growing up but that's really it. Their interaction was cute and I was curious why the band broke up. I expected more holiday in the story but it's almost nonexistent other then the reunion on Christmas Eve.
