Thank you @wednesdaybooks @netgalley for a copy of this book. I always enjoy a locked room thriller and this one was set on a secluded island with 10 influencers and one gets murdered. You add in a tropical storm and the suspense element just goes up exponentially. This book was a little flat for me that there were way too many POV to keep track of. I did enjoy all the secrets that were revealed but it was easy to mix up the characters.
lighthearted
Thank you to the publisher for Snowy Serendipity which contains 2 Christmas novellas. The first one was super cute and it was finding love on the Christmas express train. It was perfect to get you in the mood for the holiday.
The second story was about a second chance romance and it wasn't as memorable as the first one.
Overall, great stories to get you in the holiday spirit.

Thank you @macmillan.audio for a 3rd book of the Black Harbor series. Rowan and Axel returns with a busy case of finding of her daughter's best friend murdered. Not only that but they learn that their daughter, Chloe, is missing. The story is told in multiple POV and keeps throwing all sorts of twists and turns. It's atmospheric and dark and reveals the cruelty of high school life and Rowan and Alex question how much they really know their daughter.

Thank you @simon.audio for a copy of this audiobook. It has been awhile since I have read Stephanie Plum's series and it was so much fun. Stephanie and Lula are still bounty hunters and gets into lots of mischief and trouble. There is still a love triangle between Stephanie, Morelli and Ranger. I love Bob and how he stole the show in this one. The narrator did a great job brining all these characters to life.

I devoured this in one sitting. I was bummed the audio wasn't narrated by Britney but I think Michelle Williams and the ghost writer did a phenomenal job with the messaging. I was never a huge Britney fan but enjoyed her music and saw what was going on. After reading this, my heart breaks for her and how much she was abused by her family. Her dad is a top notch asshole in taking advantage of her and I can believe the level of control he had on her. It was a good to hear her side of the story and what she did to survive.

Thank you @berkleyromance @prhaudio for this audiobook. This was such a wonderful story about Sage and her sisters as well as a second chance romance with Tenne. I loved the complexity of each of the sisters and how it was such a big part of the story. The magical elements of the sister added a fun touch to the story. I enjoyed the flashback to Sage and Tenne's exchanges and wished we saw them develop the relationship more as adults. This was a great story for readers that wants a bit of magic and perfect for this time of the year.

Thank you @berkleyromance @prhaudio for a copy of this book. This book is about Iris who as the title states, doesn't date but in a writers block on her romance. She meets Stevie who has anxieties and has friends that are constantly trying to help set her up. They agree to fake date to help each other out. Their dates are cute but I found the story lacking something. I wasn't fully vested with either characters and found Stevie's friends way too annoying. I did enjoy seeing characters from the other books in this series and play a part in the story

If you are looking for a steamy read, this one fits the bill. I enjoyed this read but felt that there wasn't a whole lot of substance to the story and way too much insta love for me. As much as I love steamy romances, this was just a little too long and some scenes could've been cut out and the story would still be the same.

Thank you @libro.fm @atriabooks for a copy of this romance. I loved this story and the narration was perfection! I adore the story between Rory and Russ from a one night stand to becoming coworkers and then friends to lovers. They were so great together and their family dynamics added so much to the story. The friend group is great and it was fun to see characters from Icebreaker in this story too.

Thank you @atriabooks @simonandschuter for a copy of this book. The story focuses on disappearance of Sunny Kim. Sunny and John Kim who moved to America for a better life. The story is told in dual timeline with how life was for Sunny as a new immigrant to American and present day with her kids looking for answers to a man found dead in their backyard and his connection to Sunny. I connected with this book as I think about my own parents and their struggles as immigrants. The story is slow moving but I enjoyed the reveal of the dead man and Sunny's connection but was mad about the ending.
