Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of this audiobook.
This was a historical mystery set in 20s in England. Ellie Winters has a special touch to help you find missing items. One day, a stranger comes to her house and learns one of her former friend is dead and is asked to help find what happened to her. I really enjoyed the supernatural setting and also the romance between James and Ellie. Billie Fulford-Brown did a great job with the narration and bringing all the emotions of Ellie come to life.

Thank you to the author for an ARC of this romance story. The story is set in India with Meera working hard to help keep up with family finances after the loss of her father and takes in Luke as a renter for 3 months. They met previously in the first book through mutual friends and I enjoyed seeing how Luke developed a friendship with Meera through Indian music. Luke is such a cinnamon roll with how he treated Meera and her family as well as other less fortunate. This story has a lot of heavier topics and I appreciate the author bringing these issues to light.

Thank you @macmillan.audio @minotaur_books for a copy of this book. Though this is part of the Finlay Donovan series, it can be read as a standalone. This focuses on Veronica, who is Finaly's baby sister. This is before the two meet up and a quick story about Veronica and what happened to her before the two connected. This didn't have the humor that the rest of the series has and I am not so sure why Veronica was so determined to find the thief. Stacey Gonzalez did a good job with the narration and overall this was a quick cozy mystery.

I was excited about this one, age gap and brother's best friend which are some of my favorite trope. Unfortunately this was a miss for me. Damien is alpha male and morally grey which I am okay with. But it just annoyed me how possessive he was with Sophie and how he didn't trust Sophie with a male classmate. That just totally turned me off.

Thank you @readforeverpub @netgalley for a copy of this book. I love returning back to Pine Hollow and reading Kendall's story. This story centers on Kendall trying to bring more revenue to her family's ski and hotel resort. At the same time, she is fostering a mischievous puppy and her crush from high school returns. I enjoyed seeing Kendall and Brody together and their banter and tension was great. Both Kendall and Brody are at crossroads with their career and it was good to see how they supported each other. Banner is the cutest pup despite his mischievous ways.

Thank you @readforeverpub for copy of this beautiful story with Holly and Tyler. We saw a little bit of Tyler in Torn and I was curious about him. Both Tyler and Holly had a shared past and are both so broken. I love how they helped each other heal and grow. The story is hopeful and seeing their journey was so beautiful.

Thank you @berkleyromance @prhaudio for a copy of this audiobook. I love the author's previous books and was excited to get a new book in a totally different setting. The cursed Scottish castle added a fun element to the story. You just have to suspend your belief and enjoy the ride with the story since Riley is a curse breaker. I thought Shane East was the perfect voice for Clark and really brought out the grumpiness in him. Saskia Maarlevld did a great job as Riley as well. I enjoyed their tension and banter but the characters did not have the development I wanted like Danan's other books. Overall a fun read.

Thank you @dreamscapemedia @netgalley for a copy of this audiobook. This is a second chance love story between Stella and Henry. Stella returns home to spend the first holiday with out her dad with her mom. She runs into Henry and he is not who he was. As Stella helps Henry, they rekindle their relationship. I have a hard time with second chance romance when the reason for the first break up was from miscommunication. This happens again the second time around. This is my least favorite trope so not totally my cup of tea.

Thank you @dreamscapemedia @netgalley for this fun holiday read. I have not read this series so I was unfamiliar with all the characters. This book had total Hallmark movie vibes. There are a lot of characters to keep up for an audiobook but it still kept me entertained. Because of the abundance of characters, there's no character development and really just see how they spend their time together. There's a little bit of drama and overall an entertaining read.
I am in the minority but here's why I thought this book was meh:
- besides the main character, the supporting casts were all so flat and forgettable
- the book totally could've been shorter, a lot of scenes seemed unnecessary
- the lack of communication between Violet and Xaden is frustrating
- the first book ends with Violet reuniting with her brother and unexpected a lot more of him in the story - he was pretty much non-existent in this story
The story is told in Violet's voice and her internal dialogue just gets old.
Overall, it was okay and not worth the hype for me
