I am a sucker for books with dogs so this one was a no brainer to read. All I can say is I need to see Puddin and Duchess on my feed. The dogs were so cute and with Heron's writing on their adorable personality, I can see why these dogs would go viral. Ashanti who owns Barkingham Palace day care is a super woman and has a lot of her plate. I love how fiercely loves not only Duchess and her sisters but other dogs as well. Thad is not a dog person and I loved seeing his growth journey in getting back to civilian life and learning to love his grandmother's dog. I thought there were some loose ends that needed to be resolved. If you love dogs and a weekend trip to NYC, grab this one.

The beach town of Beaufort, I need to go there ASAP. I can always rely on Kristin Harvey Woods on delivering a great summer read. This one had a little bit of romance, a bit of mystery and some family drama. The story alternates between Keaton, who is helping her mom get the house in Beaufort for sell and Becks, who is Keaton's grandmother. Both POV and great and I love how Beck's story told of her love story and unraveling what happened to her and Townsend. Keaton's story is great as she decides what to do with life as well her falling in love with Beaufort. Bowen and Anderson added a sweet romance to the story and the older ladies was so fun.

I recently discovered Charlie Donlea and was excited to read this upcoming thriller. I love the premise of this story with Sloan submitting her DNA for a genealogy research and learns she is actually a baby that disappeared 30 years ago. Sloan goes to Nevada to find out about her biological family as well as what happened to the Sheriff's grandfather.

Vivienne Leheny did a great job with the narration and kept me engrossed with the story with both the past and current timelines. The reveal of what happened was a bit far fetched and I enjoyed this over all.

Felicity and Leo's summer romance was so great. The slow burn and banter was perfection. I love how Sig added the sarcasm with him and Felicity. Mrs. Angelini and bnb keeper added the motherly figure for both character and so full of spunk.

Leo's responsibility back in England seems a bit outdated as a plot line. I didn't enjoy to how Leo and Felicity reconnected but glad they got their HEA.

The narration was great and made the audio book so fun.

Elle Kennedy does it again with another amazing hockey romance series. I loved the first book of this series and this one is just as amazing. You do not read to read the first one but they are in the same universe and characters. Shane and Diane are so fun together. Their enemies to lovers to fake dating created such tension and banter. The close proximity with being neighbors was so fun. The community they lived in had so many characters that I wanted to attend the HOA meetings. The second half of the book does have some heavier topics which I wasn't expecting and it did make me cry. This story will make you laugh, cry and be excited for the next book.

I usually enjoy time travel stories but this one felt really unemotional for me. The premise was interesting but I didn't feel vested in any of the characters- they all lacked the depth that I like in stories. All the stories felt a little disjointed and almost like novellas.
slow-paced

This book sounded so promising with the mystery of a missing twin and the creepy hospital but I felt it missed the mark. The story is told in dual timeline and gives you an insight to the sisters. The current timeline didn't work for me and finding out what happened to Piper made no sense to me.

The narration did a good job but the story just didn't work for me.

If you are a fan of Brit-chick lit, this one is right up your alley. Millie discovers that her draft emails that was never meant to be sent are all sent and it creates a spiral of events that she tries to correct. There's a little bit of mystery of how this happened throughout the story. Millie tries to patch up with everyone and the same time, Jack at the office comes back and they be friend each other. I enjoyed seeing Jack and Millie's interaction and wished they talked a little more than just letting each other guess what each other was feeling. The whole email debacle and who did it made zero sense to me. I enjoyed seeing the friendship between Cate, Ralph and Millie as well as her relationship with her parents. Overall, a fun read.

I just could not get into it. The reason for her wanting to leave her husband just made zero sense to me. Miscommunication is not my jam.

I have been in my forbidden romance era and this fits the bill with the age gap romance between Laurie and Toby. They meet at BDSM club and Laurie takes Tony under his wing to show how the relationship works. I liked that Toby is the dominant which books typically has the older character as. I love their interaction and the struggle Laurie had with this relationship. What I found refreshing was Toby's confidence with what he wanted in a relationship. I love the growth journey that happens in this story.
