I grabbed this without reading the synopsis so shame on me. I have loved a lot of Sheridan's books but this one was not for me. It was totally Walking Dead without the zombies.
I like how the story shows how people react to natural disaster. I didn't buy the love story between Emily and Tuck, they were thrown back into major catastrophe and there was no time to develop love. It felt like forced proximity and reach for comfort.
I sort of wanted to know what happened to Charlie as well and he just drove off and nothing.
I enjoyed the dual POV and André Santana and Annalee Scott's narration.
Thank you Harelquin Audio and publisher for a copy of the book.

This was such a fun read about 4 couples that the wives plans to kill their husbands for retirement money. The story is so entertaining and silly with lots do funny moments.
The story does have a lot of POVs but I didn't feel lost at all. The scheming from all was over the top and made the story so fun. I love the addition of Parma, the new casino boss, and her role in adding more to the mix ups.
Kiiri Sandy and John Pirhalla did a great job bringing this story to life.
Thank you @williammorrowbooks @libro.fm @harperaudio for the book.

What a beautiful conclusion to the Skyland series. I was so excited to get Hen's story and it did not disappoint. I am obsessed with Mav and how attentive and attune to Hen's needs. He shows up in ways big and small and what I love most is that they acted so logical and communicated!!! Mav was so great with communicating his love and yes to no big 3rd act break up!
As much as I love the romance, Ryan is such a queen at bringing relevant subjects that needs to be addressed. She tackles big subjects such as racial inequalities, female empowerment and so much more.
This series has been so special with the 3 women's friendship. I love the group texts and how they have supported each other through it all.
This one did hit close to home for me with caring for an elderly parent. She did such a great job with this and I felt all the guilt that Hen experienced.
I read 50% and then did audio for the second half and so glad I got to experience Wesleigh Siobhan and Jakobi Diem's narration. They were perfect as Hen and Mav!

I started this in print and it wasn't grabbing my attention so I switched to audio about 75 pages in. This book was painfully slow for me. I could not tell whose POV I was listening to on the audio.
Alex North did a great job creating a dark tone with mystery of what happened to Dan's dad as well as John's POV. When there's a lot of internal dialogue, it losses my interest.
Shane Zaza did a good job with narration but I think if we had 2 distinct narrators would have made this a better listening experience.
Thank you @celdaonbooks @macmillian.audio for a copy of this.

I really enjoyed thee first book of this series so I was excited to read the follow up. You don't need to read the first one but recommend that you do so you get a feeling of all the characters and their backstory.
This is set in Catalina and it's about filming When in Rome and the wedding of Emma and Fred. Emma and Eleanor have been best friends are is there for her wedding.
This was a lock room mystery as there is a hurricane looming and the people on Catalina are stuck there. The mystery of someone dying at the wedding was entertaining.
Like the previous book, we get a lot of Eleanor's personality through her footnotes addressing the reader.
I think this story had a lot going on and lost me in some parts.
I enjoyed the recurring characters as well and Elizabeth Evan's narration.
Thank you @minotaur_books @macmillan.audio for a copy of the book.

This was a cute YA romance about starting college and self discovery. Irene is a romance book reviewer and is starting college. She hopes to find her kiss/love in college. Instead, what she finds is her archenemies, Aiden, who also reviews romance books. They are both in English and ends up partnering for a project.
I thought Irene and Aiden are cute together and I enjoyed seeing them navigate college and working together. I liked seeing Irene's growth with her making friends.
I did find the final project and want Irene did a bit out of left field. We don't know anything about Aiden and his passion and it was just thrown in there.
Overall, this was a sweet YA romance and tribute to all the romance books.
Shannon Tyo and Eric Yang did a great job on the narration, capturing their personalities.
Thank you @harpercollins Harelquin Audio for a copy of the audiobook.

I have been bored with thrillers lately and this one was so entertaining. The title truly captures all of the characters. Everyone is so out to get revenge or want something. I love seeing the motivation with character for what them to do what they wanted to get done.
I don't want to give anything away but I love how everyone has a motive. I devoured this audiobook in a sitting. Emma Love did such a great job with the different voices for each of the POV.
Thank you @scarletsuspense @highbridgeaudio for a copy of this audiobook.

This book is such a bittersweet moment, I have been wanting Davis' story but this is the last of the Bro Code series. Like the series, this book is full of laugh out loud moments and funny shenanigans and animals.
I love Sloan and Davis together as they use the faking dating to help fend off Sloan's family and Davis has his own agenda too. I enjoyed seeing them work together as they try to solve the mystery of the treasure and how Davis starts putting down his walls for Sloan.
You can read this as a standalone but highly recommend you read the series as all of the characters play a big role.
The majority of the book is narrated by Teddy Hamilton, CJ Bloom with a surprise from Ava Erickson. They did a fantastic job bringing all the joy to life.
Thank you @pippa.grant for a copy of the book.

As the title suggests, this is a friends to lovers story between Evie and Theo. They help each other with a marriage of convenience for health care for Evie and be a spouse for Theo to keep his rent control lease.
At the surface, this is a love story about missed chances but there's so much more. I appreciate Kanter addressing issues with our healthcare system, the frustration of not being properly diagnosed, grief and anger over death of a parent.
Evie and Theo's journey kept me vested in the story. I wished I had a teacher like Theo in school that made school fun.
Overall, a great step for Kanter in writing an adult romance. I enjoyed the dual POV narrated by Gail Shalan and GM Hakim. Thank you @celadonbooks @macmillan.audio for a copy of the book.

Thank you @prhaudio @berkleyromance for this book.
We are back at Barry's Bay and we have Charlie's story. I was not a fan of Charlie after reading Every Summer After so I was curious how this would play out.
We have Alice, who is at the Bay for the summer to help her grandmother heal from her fall. She meets Charlie and they form a friendship with feelings and both are cautious. I really enjoyed seeing their friendship blossom. Charlie is such a flirt and I love how he charmed Nan.
For me, the romance between the two was not the star of the show but the relationships outside of it. I love that Alice is opening herself to from new friendships with Percy. I love seeing Percy and Sam's story and that Charlie still has a strong relationship with Sam and Percy.
You don't need to read Every Summer After but I do recommend it. AJ Bridel did a good job on the narration.
